| I want to see a good final this year - the last two have been exciting for maybe 20 minutes each.
Wigan vs Saints would be my choice.

| I'd like to see a Huddersfield V Warrington final. I think Huddersfield could beat Saints on their day. However, I suppose on a tactical level, we would want Saints to get through, as they would play the final the weekend before they come to Headingley.

I think if you're going to allow us to be there then it may be more exciting against Wire because they would really want to end their hoodoo at Wembley and these days us and them have some really great contests. Wigan and Saints have been close three out of the last four times we have played but I don't think those games have been as exciting as those we have played against Wire. YMMV

Fair point. It might also allow me to clap Morley with the Cup for a second time.

Roughly translated.
Wigan drew with us at KR last season.
They were the better team this season at the JJB (DW) and KR (GPW) and should have won.
They battered us at Murrayfield.
We'd rather play Wire as we ALWAYS beat them.

| I'd like a Hudds v Wire final but I think it'll be Saints v Wire. Hopefully Wire win it due to the many ex-Leeds lads over there. I wouldn't be too upset to see Richie go over for the winner in the last minute. Felt sorry for him last Saturday for a couple of seconds!

Bollox to that lot! We drew at KR last season but hey, we'd just done a 22 match winning spree and won a cup so I think that says it all, in the rain, on the last match of the season. We beat you at JJB and KR this season - and the best teams always win. Saints didn't want to be at Murrayfield and they showed it, and fans expressed what they thought about that afterwards!
You can grasp straws if you want to and dress things up all you like, but the bottom line is even with a depleted squad on a rainy night with your guys in full flow, we still beat you.
Quote We'd rather play Wire as we ALWAYS beat them.'"
Not true, actually. A lot of Saints fans have been preferring Wire matches for a few seasons now and not because we win but simply because they have been the better contests. The hoodoo thing has added extra spice. Wigan have been useless for derby matches for a few seasons now. Friday night came close but you have a ways to go before you prove yourselves again.

You felt sorry for him?
Did you say the way he celebrated when he scored? Or the way he celebrated when Wigan beat us at Headingley?
Forget feeling sorry for him, I wanted to laugh in his face after Ryan Hall's try.

Lets make it simple.
As you know according to Saints fans RL began in 1996.
In that Superleague time have Saints beat Wigan more times than Wigan have beat Saints?
If so by how many games.
Then ask said Saints Fan the same question re Saints and Warrington.
As I said a Huddersfield v Wigan final beckons.

| I fancy Giants to do it. They are a bloody well drilled outfit. On paper, you wouldn't give them a chance against Saints, but Nathan Brown has really got the best out of them. Mean, mean defence.
Sitting on the fence with the other one, would love it to be the Wire though.

| Depends whether Hudds can also avoid any stage fright (also true for whoever may face Sts if Hudds can't do them in the semis).
I do like the look of Warrrington with the ball, but their defence isn't that good, so they'll need to up the intensity there to beat Wigan IMO.

This depleted squad? Well we was missing our captain and vice captain. Recently lost Englands best second rower due to sheer stupidity. Lost our interchange hooker for a while. We also lost one of our subs after around 1 touch of the ball for the rest of the season. Not to mention our half back who tore you apart at Murrayfield.

Don't get me wrong, his running game does just about make up for his error/penalty counts and I'd have him in my team, but England's best might be a bit strong don't you think?
