Going back to the main points of the thread, haven't got some sort of arrangement with Oldham too ?
Whilst I am skeptical that anything much comes of this 'arrangements' and their benefits, I bet the next thing that GH will come up with that we're scrapping the reserves and loaning those players out as feeder clubs ? Doesn't it mean we've got a finger in the pie of just about every service area in the country and thus, the potential to pick at the cream of junior talent across the country ? |

I suspect their issue is that there are no coaches in the French game with any real experience of anything other than their domestic semi-professional league. Add to that, there would be no top antipodean or British coaches that would be interested or viable and I doubt the French Elite league coaches would be interested either.
That said appointing Goulding makes no sense - almost any French coach would have been better I'd imagine - but maybe there was no real alternative. |

PNG is more civilized than some parts of Whitehaven believe me. |

Perhaps the players themselves have other work or study commitments which mean they need to be within 30 mins of Leeds on the train rather than up in Cumbria?
You can't make players go on loan somewhere they don't want to go. |
