Firstly, he's in contract, one would presume there is, particularly with Doncaster in financial woe.
Secondly, where did I say it did preclude signing a Back Rower? Just said the money could be better used elsewhere.
Thirdly, we have one of our back rowers stuck in Australia and another out long term, so we're obviously none short
And lastly, I'll take your ability with a pinch of salt aswel, just because you were at Headingley when I was still in my Daddy's balls doesn't make your opinion any more valid than mine.

If a lad who is only good enough to be a squad player at Whitehaven makes him look very average then how will he fare against the likes of Gidley and Gleeson? |

It's a very reasonable point you make, he could progress in a more professional environment, I'm just not sure I'd have taken the chance this early on in his career.

The club must really rate him because they trailed all the way up to Whitehaven to watch the lad (GH was there himself). |

What an idiot you are. That point has no relevance. No-one on here is writing him off apart from you. The lad sounds like hes a big raw talent. Good signing if you ask me, one for a season or 2's time. It'll make hardly any impact in salary cap also. Of course you never know - he might not turn out right, but the club can't be knocked for signing him up - the lad's got all the makings of a good signing. We'll back him all the way. |
