He din't play the ball though did he, he threw it back. IMO Senior did the right thing, because if he did shout held then he couldn't play the ball because he was getting puched into touch. Poor decisioon IMO

At the end of the day, without him, there was no game yesterday! get over yourselves and give the guy a break, he's doing a job that no one wants to do, but everyone likes to criticise.

The thing with Thierry is that he does not give clear signals, so the supporters get on his back. At the end of the day, so long as the players know what he's given a decision for, what does it matter?

Actually that's a very good observation. Some of his signals are unclear and you're left in the stand wondering what he's given and why. It also makes him look a bit like he's making it up as he goes along.

Seen him ref a few times this season and I don't think he's any worse than the others. I think yesterday was the poorest performance I've seen from him, but I doubt he favoured one side over the other. He did seem to struggle with the concept of a high tackle yesterday, nor did he seem fussed about two feet behind the line (but which ref does?).

For mine, he got 99% of the high tackle calls right, they weren't high tackles, they hit the shoulder first, if there was something he missed, it was the grabbing around the head and neck during the "wrestle" and on the floor!

like i said earlier, he has reffed us 3 times this season. twice he has been very good, yesterday he was awful.
like players he should has to take the rough with the smooth. like players he doesn't mean to have a bad game.

There were a few times he didn't seem to know what to do. Looking to the touch judge as if he didn't have a clue what was going on.

Just watching the match highlights on the Superleague site, how the obstruction on Lee Smith was missed when Rob made the break just before Kylie's try is puzzling.

I would agree that all ref's have good and bad games. Many of the high tackles perhaps came off a shoulder.
However, I cannot defend how many times he allowed Huddersfield to be offside. Where we sit (Paddock, at very far right end, row eight) you can clearly see who has two feet on the line and I would say 90% of the time they didn't. I'm aware it would be a very stop-start game if we stopped to check that all the time and that perhaps Thierry couldn't see, but isn't that what the touch judge is for?

i didn't have any real issues with the refere on Sunday. I barely noticed him which is always a good sign.

Seriously, I tend to let things go by now, but I was getting well wound up in the second half, with the offside thing when Huddersfield were defending their line.

I know there was lots of other things. But the not even coming close to having one foot on the line, never mind 2, was getting my back up, when it was so absolutely clear.

Same for Leeds?

Not really because Leeds were not defending their line very often.

It seems to be what Nathan Brown has got into them! like I said previously on this thread, no big issues from Thierry this week!

I'm aware I'm bias, but we certainly had our feet on the line more than Huddersfield. I don't mind if he penalises us for being offside, but he should be fair to both sides. They changed the rule to make it clearer for fans, refs and players. Unfortunately, the fans seem to be the only ones that get it.

Apart from missing the most blatant knock on ever from Kallum Watkins in midfield in the second half.

wasnt there a set in the second half when a hudds player was so far off side it was stupid!! he obviously thought the ball was played and raced off the line but when the ball was actually played he was bang in the middle of the play?

I had no issues with his performance.

He was balanced in his decisions and he had no influence on the outcome of the game, which is exactly what I want from a referee.

One poster suggested there were "no big issues" from his performance at the weekend. The fact he missed a knock on so blatant as the one Kallum got away with on Sunday would suggest otherwise.

I actually agree with most of your sentiments. I didn't think M. Alibert was that bad on Sunday. He just missed a couple of things that you'd expect any referee to pick up.
