Not at all. Both sides need to be honourable. Leeds finding Gibson an alternative club (if he's still under contract) while fulfilling their first obligation which is to the Leeds club would be a honourable thing to do.

A right centre could be brought in without any need for Gibson to leave immediately anyway and he could retain his place in the squad until his contract expires in November.

I never understand the mentality of some people. I take it Iestyn was invited as he was part of the team that won the CC. How and why would you boo that is beyond me

Interesting reading.

I had an insight into those negotiations during the time that they were taking place, provided by one of the parties to the agreement. There are some things in that document that are not quite as described to me at the time.

One thing is clear though - Iestyn was never the sharpest knife in the drawer when it came to contracts, money and negotiations.

It was at the time, especially when the masses who had not read it kept spouting off opinions as fact which could easily be refuted or ratified by reading it. Still got it in my filing cabinet, to dust off from time to time when the stories grow hazy and the legends become true.

i pointed out each of the people around me and called them on the issue. I spoke to a number of posters on here about the issue, and while i may joke about the supporters being ts, it is true that leeds have possibly the worst supporters in the league, booing an ex cup-winning captain, someone who influenced massively the team that we watched win back to back grand finals. and then to top it off, managed to boo the team off at half time and full time! I hope that those who booed are captured on the CCTV and denied tickets for the grand final!
