Looks like they came close in 2006 against the same opposition as last weekend.

I can sense you're trying to nullify the historical significance I've managed to build up in my imagination here.

Before Monday:

Question: When was the last time Leeds have been beaten at home by a team in their post promotion season?

Answer: Widnes 29th April 2002 Leeds 10 Widnes 14.

Question: When was the last time Leeds lost both games over the Easter period?

Answer: Not 100% clued up on when Easter falls but how about

29th March 1997 Bradford 24 Leeds 10

And

1st April 1997 Halifax 24 Leeds 18

Both those were away games though so perhaps

5th April 1996 Castleford 26 Leeds 23

And

8th April 1996 Leeds 24 St Helens 46

Coincidentally Leeds were beaten by Bradford away that season as well.
They were also beaten home and away by the promoted team.

The rebuilding at the end of that season set them up for the next 6 years.

Showing an interest in saliola and talau for that matter shows leeds knew they needed a centre, eastwood was unfortunate but im sure a club of leeds' stature could pull a few strings before we get to the business end of the season, Kirke, ablett & burgess are squad players outside the 17 at best.

I don't agree with that i think he has a big future here...

Talau did get a mention, but the fact they were looking at centres anyway tells me they predicted a weekness, Kirke etc are important now because there is no one else. unfortunatly with sal cap restrictions there will always be a place for these players.

Ideally I'd like to see Ian Kirke & Carl Ablett rewarded with 1/2 year deals and Kylie Leuluai given a years Extension and possibly Keith Senior at a push on reduced terms depending on our recruitment drive...
Simon Worrall i don't think offers us too much in Super League terms and should be allowed to leave the same with Ashley Gibson solid but not spectacular and with Kallum Watkins being the younger player showing more potential i expect him not to be here come next season...

How many of those will be outside the 20/20 now & be due a salery increase? thats why scrutons at bradford, not worth retaining on improved terms, and earns more than on offer at headingley in a smaller pond.

I'd say only Simon Worrall would be outside the 20/20 personally...
I'd imagine Ian Kirke & Carl Ablett will have good enough salaries to renew there contracts and therefore retain there positions in our squad...

maybe so, senior defo on reduced terms, can't see leeds finding 2 centres next year, need an international back rower asap, ellis made the tackles for 80 mins, ablett comes in 3rd man & concedes penalties, kirke not leeds class but tries hard.
