The point a lot of you are missing is this. Yes, we were utter cr*p tonight, and have been most of the season so far. But how many of our first team squad were involved in the World cup? 8 in the England squad, + Leuluai + Lauitititi for Samoa. Ten players in total out of a squad of 20 odd who have had no off season. Yes I know the Stains had 7, but how many actually showed up in the World cup? Frankly I don't believe we will win anything this season, most of the players are bu**ered already. I half expect us to collapse at the back end of the season. On current form, JP is already a spent force.

Not sure what has happened to the confidence in the team. We looked very timid last night in a game that for me wasn't as physical as either the Hull or Wigan games. Also, we are at pretty much full strength up-front. We flagged last year when we lost all our back row forwards at once (Kirke, Ellis, JJB, Ali). If this is as good as it gets?

It is a little worrying that with nearly 10 minutes left on the clock and only 4 points down against a team not renown for being great at defending we start trying cross kicks from inside our 20 on the second tackle. Whatever happened to field position and pressure?

Rest Ryan Hall even though he tries his best every game it is clear he has been injured for a couple of weeks! I just hope it was a blip due to the fatigue ect.. to say we lost it was not by many only four points so not too much cause for alarm. Hopefully we can get back to winning ways on Monday.

You might be right ... Perhaps Monday's game might be the time to introduce Jodie Broughton to the first team ?

Broughton is Kallum Watkins natural wing partner when the reserves used to win things. They have an understanding together, which showed when the Academy beat a full-strength York side last year.

As for the Broughton has not experience complaint, wasn't it him that Hull went for last season to play first grade during their injury crisis ? Young, with pace to burn might just be the sort of player we need if we choose to stop battering sides up the middle and throw the ball about, playing a more expansive game.

In that way, you can rest Hall (who has heavy strapping on that thigh for the last two games) and maybe even drop Ablett or Senior ?

Menzies is still class act, you could tell that from watching NRL last season. And the way he has played for Bulls this season shows he still has it. More than can be said about our World Class Hooker, hope I get proved wrong though.
