We should stock our Academy with players like Tim Smith, Cameron Phelps and Richie Mathers. Full cap spent and clearly the way to go.

SL Leeds are not SL Wigan.

None of those players play in Wigan academy team, and none are forwards.

A 1st choice 17 won't be seen at Leeds all year now that Eastwood won't be coming.

After being outplayed by the better team on the night and still not doing bad despite the player's missing.

Again i see the wire and hkr performances as good solid battles and our defence got us the points!!
There was no fortunate video decision at hkr the ball was clearly knocked on.
I could argue 1 of hkr's tries came from a penalty wrongly awarded by bentham.
As for the wire game our defence was awesome imo did wire bomb chances yes but our strong defence played a part in their mistakes and when we got the chance we put them away!

It was a 'fortunate the video ref was there' moment not a fortunate decision. It was the correct call but had the game not been televised it would almost certainly have been given IMO. From that moment a Leeds comeback would have been a difficult ask.




You also know that Carmont was voted one of the two best centres in SL last season yet always fail to include him on Wigan's list of antipodean buys around that time.
