| Capacity reduced to 16k. West Terr. shut.
Probably the right idea, save on costs and all that.

Correct... it was always optomistic to have it in by this week.

| If the Western Terrace is shut, then it does raise the question of where those supporters who normally stand there will be going.
As the North Stand is all seater, and the Carnegie Stand is half seater / half standing, whilst previously (?) you used to need a different season ticket for the Southstand due to the restrictions in numbers in there, where will the Season ticket holders for the Western Terrace go?

Surely they'd be accepted into the South, also their half a brain should tell them to get a SS ST which allows for standing anywhere in the ground.

Cunning wheeze by GH, hoping that some of those who preferred to stand on the Western Terrace will choose to upgrade to the seats as a second option.

Just watching the "flashback" games on the website. How much of a beast was Graeme Mackay! And also is the in goal judge a young Steve Ganson in the 1st half?

That looks good but if Webb is not 100% I would have BJB at full back, Smith on the wing and Pitts on the bench.

Yeah, same here.
Also maybe Clarkson at LF and JJB at 2nd row. He's more of a ball handler.

| Looks a strong squad even with absentees. Think it's the right move leaving Webb out was clearly not 100% and we do have bjb more than capable replacement. Looking forward to tonight!

| I don't doubt that your correct but how do you know that Webb is definitely out? Just curious.
Correct decision nonetheless, BJB is more than capable.

Brian Mc said so on Yorkshire Radio this afternoon mate ,they named in the 19 to give him as long as possible to be fit but now he's out and won't be risked.

| Anyone else not been able to get to Headingley tonight? Dad left home in plenty of time (around 6.30) and has just got back home, having waited ages for a bus. We live in Morley and our buses turn round at Moor Allerton, so guess they were pretty badly affected (though to be fair, doesn't take much to scupper the 51/55 bus service, they are lousy at the best of times) - just wondered how many others had trouble tonight.

| There has been discussion about BJB not playing to scratch and a few others, but there is one area that have to take the biggest responsibily - the forwards.
They didn't make the hard yards going forward and were soft, very very soft, down the middle.
And yes it was the usual suspects. I thought they were collectively poor apart from Kylie who put himself about with ball in hand and without. Pitts is also exempt from blame as he only got limited game time, that is another mystery in itself.
I challenged Biff to put in quality performances for a string of 6 games, he doesn't seem capable of doing this. His best charge, and only decent carry, came in the last 5 minutes. That speaks volumes.
Because the forwards weren't laying the platform, it meant that Sinfield and Burrow were left going laterally and in result going no-where.
In defence, they were caught out again always round the ruck, lazy getting back - concete feet, the corners were cut again. The Bulls showed us up in this area and the Quins have done the same. It's the Rhinos weakest area. No-one commands the middle of the park, no-one commands ownership. That's where you feel the loss of JP and Bailey. The sooner these are back the better.
With JP you get that freak carting the ball and with TMFMISL you get someone who will marshall the line in defence. Knowing when to commit, knowing what holes to fill, knowing that just because you aren't physically involved in the tackle doesn't mean you have no responsibility in defence. We are shouting out for that organisation.
One of the highlights against Hull was how Buderus contolled the pace of the PTB area. This didn't happen against Quins we were slow and dis-jointed. Buderus' runs from here didn't happen either.
I feel with Webb's masterful, danger-zone, attacking distribution we would have gone more than 6-0 up. But it's one that got away.
