| Oh well when the top 6 clubs all feck off to the super duper European League it might leave the rest of us on more of an even keel.

| Kinnear was very scathing, he said the PL clubs jump for joy when the 3 promoted clubs get relegated each year.. the task of getting promoted and staying in the prem gets harder and harder and the new regs won't change that.
Interesting on the Hamer bid too, sounds like Hamer's agent told Leeds Sheff U current owners were open to accepting an offer (which would also mean he wanted to come too). I think Wilder threw his teddies out majorly and the retracted from that position quickly.

| Same old same old. Wingers don’t create anything we’ve nothing in midfield. Need to drop Gruev for Tanaka. Ampadu was really poor on the ball. Gnonto and Joseph missed 2 sitters. Totally dominated but not enough created. Subs made too late for them to get into the game. Bloody frustrating and we don’t look like auto promotion contenders as it stands. We always seem to slip up after international breaks too

| From the off Meslier putting the ball directly into touch, Joseph missing a sitter and Gnonto shooting straight at Trafford a keeper we should have signed 2 years ago.
Unlucky slip by Solomon but Bogle should have covered and Meslier should/could have done better.
Ampadu I felt needing subbing 15 minutes into the second half.
I still don`t think Gnonto is a winger and should play 10, midfield non existent and our centre halves along with Meslier look shaky to me.
My Sheff United Arsenal double looks more promising than us getting automatic promotion, play offs at best unless we get Hamer in January.

| It was always going to be difficult with so many players on international duty. Burnley came with a plan to sit back and wait for their chance and it worked for them, but we really should have won. We had 2 big chances in the first half and should have had a penalty, definitely not a bad performance, but if you don't take your chances, it doesn't matter how you play.

| Saw the first 30 mins and then listened to the rest while travelling. Based on the 30mins I saw, we are still a team that lacks pace offensively. We are also lacking someone carrying the ball forwards through the heart of midfield. If Ao is ready he needs game time and maybe the answer. Is it Farke’s decision to play inverted wingers ? If it is it may seem very fashionable but can kill any momentum with the player constantly checking back inside. Solomon was a prime example yesterday, checking back inside and then playing tippy tappy with Firpo, Aaronson etc instead of getting down the line. He doesn’t look overly fast neither. Early days, but we don’t want last seasons problems manifesting themselves with a different set of players.

| Definitely not a bad performance we were by far the better team but lacked cohesion. That will come no doubt but we do lack some class centrally at the moment particularly in midfield. The good thing is it’s looking tight between the fancied teams and Sunderland lost so we’ve got time to gel. Sheff U look very solid to me and will be right up there. Parker looks a canny manager at this level too.
I know it’s an easy thing to say but a Hamer or similar gets us a 1-0 there.. we’ve very little goal threat from outside the area and midfield with that starting 11. I believe Tanaka is known to carry a threat as is Rothwell so maybe they need more game time..

| Pretty much my thoughts Trebor but we must also remember Burnley had what 7 players missing from that line up.
Maybe Tenako and Rothwell alongside Ampadu in a 3 man midfield would give us more offensive options.
Do we use 2 defensive midfielders due to our defence being flaky?
I also much prefer to see right footed wingers on the right and left footed wingers on the left.
Get the ball in the box rather than this fancy one touch stuff that rarely works.

| A game we should have won. Poor second half, thought we got the subs wrong, shouldn’t have taken Aaronson off, as we lost all energy, don’t think Rothwell was the right choice to come on either.
Would have like to have seen Tanaka and Ramazani on sooner

Aaronson was flagging he’d not been back for USA duty long. Ramazsni deffo should have come on earlier. We seemed to lose all shape after he made the subs which is a common theme with Farke
A key 3 games coming up that we should get some good points from. It’s then 3 very tough games with Sunderland away Sheff U at home and Watford at home.

The "Jap"? Is this the 1970's? Truly no need for such a use of this type of language. It's at best clunky and there good grounds to suggest racist. Goodness me.

Perhaps take the time to research the negative connotations as explained in the article I posted above. It is not the simple shortening of the word, it is the huge negative slur used in the second world war and has no place on here or anywhere. I presume then by your logic you are comfortable abbreviating the word Pakistani? Can you not see the weaponised awful intentions of these words? How are we to proceed and grow if we don't call out this stuff and change our behaviour?

Believe what you want or remain in your bubble if you like but this language is utterly appalling and the continued privilege of simply explaining it away by saying it is an "ok shortened version" or suggesting clunkiness or that I am somehow overreacting shows we have not really come very far at all. Nobody, NOBODY, should be using such terms.
