I'm going back to being pessimistic

We look underprepared and just making too many errors in both attack and defence, need to sort it out otherwise its game over.

Only real positive has been the line speed and intent defending in the middle, shame it's being wasted.

Good run from Broadbent at least, nice try!

Agar suggested that Eastmond isn't ready - not enough training with the squad.

We look pretty good down the middle.
But the protection for the outside backs is poor.
I much prefer Thompson to Mellor tbh

Mixed bag first half, but apart from a 15 minute spell we deserve the lead and have been the better side. Think cut out errors we can kick on second half.

Thompson looked really good down the middle. Made a huge difference. Gale still getting his sea legs. Not dull is it?

Myler the best plater on the park by a country mile, been brilliant this half.

Prior should take up a role in pickpocketing, some excellent use of the new rules there

Intention down the middle good to see and some decent movement in good ball considering playing with 1 half. Biggest let down individually are L Sutcliffe Mellor and T Briscoe

Myler very dangerous linking in to the attack but didn’t like his work for the Johnstone try.

Thompson going well. We’re still too lightweight in the pack for me without Holroyd/King/AN Other prop.

Lack of a proper 6 is showing. Really pleased with Broadbent again - if he keeps going like this he’s going to be hard to shift out of the team.

Don’t just want to be a pile on, on the Briscoes but both have been poor, awful from Tom stood up far too easily by Johnson. i’d go with Newman on the wing when he is fit, untill Handley Koni back.

Broadbent and Myler have been our best, thompson good too, he seems to have bulked up but still has a bit of pace.

Why’s King not on the bench? Agar not quite fancy him?

Dwyer has made a big impact too.

The Briscoes must be among the slowest wingers in the league. I'm not saying this is all that matters, and both are certainly handy finishers at times. But teams with a bit of pace and evasion out wide will target this weakness. It was the Johnstone try that changed the flow of momentum for Wakefield.

Looking at the pack, what do people make of Tetevano? Some good touches but brought off a bit early.

If we can keep this lead til Mik and tetevano return it’ll be interesting
