I would take him, even if it is just for a year! He's quality and intimidating and will take some of the work load off JP!

Langley is a poor mans Ben Westwood and has no ambition.

The stats would suggest otherwise.

Re his lack of ambition - some may see it that way, some may see it as him being loyal to his club. Either way, i'm just glad that we are now looking to keep our best homegrown players, and that they also want to stay at the club.

Another way to look at it would be an even bigger ambition. He wants to help get us back to the top, and given our current situation that is going to be a very difficult job. He's going to have to work alot harder for silverware than if he joined a top 4 club, which is ambition in itself.

Every player has ambitions for silverware, but the fact that some players (your Langleys, Sinfields etc) would rather try their damn hardest to fulfil that ambition at the club they started at is something that deserves rewarding, not shooting down as a lack of ambition.

Agreed G1. He does have a nasty tendency to throw silly offloads. We've only seen glimpses of what Eastwood can offer I'm sure, and I think he needs a run of games. Whether he deserves them or not is an entirely different matter.

To be fair imo he put himself about abit in the 2nd half but the pass for Melis try was a shocker.

As I say, whether he deserves to be in the side or not is a different matter. But we are paying him so we may as well get our money's worth out of him if it gives us the most chance of winning silverware this season. On todays form it probably wouldn't, but before the last injury he was beginning to look the full part IMO.

Good to see the Leeds lads in the changing rooms giving Eastwood a gee up at half time. A great club environment they appear to have at the present time.

The lads certainly seemed to bond with Greg on the pitch and he certainly seemed a happy camper at the final whistle. maybe this might change his mind, maybe it won't but I still maintain fsck him. The club is bigger and it doesn't need dangling on a thread by anyone one player, especially one as injury prone as him.
