The point is that council is irrelevent to where you are from, which council you belong to is decided by which administrative centre is closest, so even if your the nearest administrative centre is miles away, in a completley seperate location, with no links to your location you will have that as your local council. to say that the number of places in britain you can come from is the number of councils is ludicrous.

And i have no idea if they teach geography at brigshaw as i have never been there.

Yes the local administration centre is in wakefield, it was in castleford but in order to save money it was moved to wakefield, when it did the town did not move to another location, its stayed in the same place, as castleford, a seperate place from wakefield. Castleford also has a pontefract phone number (due to the fact pontefract is more central to the 5 towns so some worker at the phone company based the area code from there outwards) but that (obviously) doesnt mean i am from pontefract either.

Felt that i had to swap Barry and Danny around.

Danny McGuire has been a vital part of our success and surely deserves a place as the starting six IMO. Although Barry has twice been named player of the year it doesn’t calculate to what Danny’s archived in this current Rhinos team. Three back to back titles in a row is the best the club has ever had and that’s why Danny for me edges Barry in the starting six role.

And no i'm not a from the city of wakefield, i never have, i never will be, if over night leeds and bradford councils were to merge and the name of the new council was bradford that would not make the people of leeds from bradford, they would still be from leeds.

Are you suggesting one night in the 70's the people of castleford stopped being from cas and were suddenly from wakefield? if you do then you clearly dont understand the issue at all.

As you have stated castleford is a town, i come from a town. If i came from wakefield i would come from a city not a town but as i quite clearly dont come from wakefield (coming from castleford many miles away) i dont come from the city of wakefield or any other for that matter. Likewise if all the councils of west yorkshire where consolidated to huddersfield i would still be from castleford and you would still be from leeds, even though your local council would be huddersfield.

In the same way the people of hull didnt stop being from yorkshire when there county was renamed humberside, they were still yorkshiremen never where they humbersidemen.

Basically, Kippax is now in Leeds. However, we'll allow those who were born and lived there before a certain date to say it's not if it makes them happy (bless them). Anyone born there since that date is from Leeds, no arguments.
