Maybe so, but i cant remember any Leeds players getting booed wearing their national shirt. No matter what a team think about a certain player, the kid was playing for OUR country. Think for the upcoming 4 nations series people need to remember your supporting your country not just your favourite players in the team. Would be interesting to see what the reaction to Sam would be if we he scored the winning try for us if we get to the final and won.....can see this being a very lonely website with alot of people eating a very large piece of hummble pie!!

pie fans and others a famous for booing McGuire(09 at DW)! At the 2008 world cup in Aus I sat with fans who moaned and booed sini! Mcguire And Leon pryce! all tournament. I'm sure Bailey would have got booed for GB in 04!

Absolutely shocking statement and im sure 99% of true Leeds supporters would agree. Not sure how old you are but maybe you should look back at your history and have a think about what it means to be English!!!. Theres only one way to support our national team and thats with pride, im sure the lads on the front line in Afghanistan will be cheering us on. Not really bothered if you do or not because you dont have any national pride.

Take what recent posts have said about Tomkins for a second. Why is it the some who pop up on here still automatically assume that it was Leeds supporters who boo'd Sam Tomkins against the Exiles just because it was at Headingley? When will you get it into your thick skulls that the ground was full of neutrals that day supporting England and many people have said time and again that a cross section of Rugby League supporters were venting their feelings against one of the most reviled figures in our game at this present time. Playing for his country or not,supreme talent or not some of the utter contempt Sam Tompkins displays the Rugby League community as a whole shows just how much growing up this kid really has to do.

That's it Wilko lets not forget all the s#*# that's gone on before it doesn't make it right btw but this "moral high ground" some thick and forgetful pies are taking is laughable.

Theres no moral high ground and im not sure saying your national team should be supported with pride is being thick. Maybe it wasnt just Leeds supporters that booed Tomkins, but the comment made earlier was made from a Leeds supporter that clearly has the IQ of a monkey. It would be interesting to see the reaction of the Leeds supporters if one of their player was booed wearing an England shirt, im sure you would all react the same way. It was absolutly shocking to see a player being condemned wearing an England shirt due to the club he plays for and the fact that hes a good player. Now because Wigan supporters are saying its wrong we're being called "thick"....good luck in the play offs by the way

That’s right I didn’t ,and never would but for some reason you think you have the right to tell me how I should show my support for my national team , which you don’t.

I'm probably going against the grain a bit here but here goes. I was at the Exiles game and I was quite embarassed to hear Tomkins being booed by what "appeared" to be Leeds fans in the South Stand, although it never has been proved it was just Leeds fans alone. But the point is, I am sort of in agreement with Warrior here, no player wearing the England shirt, regardless of which club he plays for, should be booed while representing his country. We should all be on the same side when supporting England RL. I dont condone some of the niggly stuff that Sam Tomkins does, his finger salute at Wembley was wrong, but he is a talented kid who I cannot wait to see go up against the Aussies and Kiwis this autumn, and NO I will not be booing him!

Even though im a Wigan supporter, i cant justify Sam Tomkins's code and conduct on the field and agree with most comments and views people have on him. But as you say, when he puts an England shirt on we're all one team supporting our country. My least favourite player for Leeds is Danny Mcguire, but once he puts an England shirt on i'll be cheering him on because he plays for my team....my country. Cheers fr your comments mate

...and for the record, I spend a lot of time and money following Leeds but over the years have spent far more following GB/England. I will be taking in as many of this year's Four Nations games as I can and will have on my England shirt with pride.

I have not and never will boo any England player because as soon as they pull on that red and white shirt they are no longer an opposition player and therefore get my full support.

Having said that I do understand why fans (from multiple clubs) show their abhorrence for Rat Boy and if that's they way they want to show their dislike then so be it. You have no right at all to demand that they support England in the way that YOU want them to.

IF you were'nt a ten bob bandwagoner and had been around when it happened on here you'd of seen many (Wigan fans) ADMIT they did it and just so we're clear i never have been on the dole flower and spent many years serving my country so little poxy chavs and pond life like you sleep safe at night.
