| He signed for Bradford because Leeds wouldn't sign Tom, and only wanted him at the time. John Bastian's biggest mistake.

| Don't worry about us getting rid of some players at the end of the year.
Continue playing like we have and players will be jumping ship as we head for relegation.
As it stands we would not beat Wigan or Huddersfield who are down there with us.
So we have to hope teams like London, HKR and Salford implode whilst we put a run of victories together.
Possible? yes. Probable? Not sure.

I would never ever have thought in my lifetime that i would hear a Rhinos fan say this.
Look, I am not a wind up merchant, just a very simple question.
Was the sacking of Brian McDermott a contributing factor to this? If not, What was the ground zero?
I am just worried that another fine RL foundation club could be pi55ed to the wall, and after Bradfords fall from grace, can the game take another one with the Rhinos being dropped out of the premier competition?

its nice to see you and wigan sweat a bit but yes as the game goes it would be a massive loss to the game

| I suggest that there is something very wrong in the Rhinos camp at the moment. However I believe that at some point in time, not to far down the road, an effective remedial plan will be put in place. This belief is not based on blind faith, but on the beiief that Leeds Rugby as a business will not want to contemplate spending even a year out of Superleague. A huge investment has been made in the ground and the associated financal costs can not be bourne playing 2nd tier rugby. It therefore makes sense to invest in strengthening the Playing squad. Don't get me wrong, I think this will be another year to forget for Rhinos fans, but those in charge will find a way to avoid relegation.
P.S. I have no idea what the remedial action will be. I'll leave others to speculate on that.

I think theres something wrong in the camp also. I think the players haven't taken to Furner coupled with many being made available in the offseason.
We have to make a dip into the market sharpish imo to give us a boost and toughen us up. The squad should be good enough however to make mid table ish and that is down to Furner.

| We seemed to make some strange substitutions in the last 5-10 mins which i think favored London. Peteru & Oledzki -> JJB & Donaldson. We seemed to lose all go forward at this point and had no real presence in defense allowing London to get back into the game. Peteru was having the best game in a Leeds shirt and we took him off with 5 mins to go which i couldn't understand.
Still lacking any direction around the pitch and missing a leader in the pack. Will be interesting to see how we fair up against Catalans pack next week, although i can only see one winner

| I think the camp was badly spooked by the attitude of having players who though, not necessarily "ripping it up" had been putting effort in and were summarily told to feck off. Think they badly misjudged the closeness of the players with that, this has led to a collapse in morale.
What was the point in "giving people a clean slate" while not even bothering to give them a chance? Granted, they were no world beaters but surly they could've done just as good a job as some of the waning favourites have done / are doing?

| I'd guess something similar has happened. But whilst morale may not have been well managed, some of the players didn't help with showing zero since before McDermott left. Pro sport is the ultimate performance based job. If anyone wanted to prove they were worth keeping they've had every chance to show it on the field.
If Cuthbertson had started playing like he was in 2015 would he have been on the surplus list?

| Nothing excuses lack of effort & mental weakness.
Every player in the 17 has been backed by Furner whether previously deemed surplus or not.
These are supposed to be pro athletes so spitting the dummy & not giving 100% is unacceptable.
Im also sick of the bog standard dross in the YEP week after week "we will fix it up" we will stick together blah blah spare us the soundbites & put the effort in on the pitch or feck off.

| We're still at the point of the season where a couple of wins could change things very quickly. But if others pick up points and we keep losing we'll soon be at a point where major changes will be needed. At that stage the morale of a bunch of championship standard players will be the least of our worries.

I would say London are still favourites to go down, but with 3 wins already, including wins against Leeds and Wigan, that is far from certain. 7 or 8 wins could be enough to stay up.

| It would be a disgrace if we were even fighting relegation. I mean, yes we are down there but have 4 soon to be 5 toughest away trips done in our first 8 games by end of the week. This squad is not a contender, perhaps worse than even most of us thought but still should be good enough for top 8 over the full season.

| Should be I agree but the 3 performances give real reason for concern. The first 4 games was ridiculously tough but the performances in those was better than in the more winnable games since.

| That says to me it's about attitude rather than ability. We have had good performances. The team may have underestimated the quality of the next three games and thought they'd be able to just turn up. Hopefully that attitude won't persist

I firmly believe there is ability in this team to compete in Super League against most teams the performance at Saints showed that. Mental toughness, attitude, team spirit and fight have let us down and it's not good enough.

Agreed the way this lot has imploded in games has been pathetic the squad has too many not up to it including the stand in Captain.

I’m not as anti-Ferres as some but would let him go at the end of this year at his age. Been a really poor signing overall, partly due to injuries but also another case of us signing someone past their prime. We never really got to see much of his wide running, ball handling England form.
