Otherwise sides will just capitalise on his corinthian approach. Of course that won't address the fundamental problem, that being that the players in our spine positions just aren't collectively good enough. I believe what he achieved (with a rabble) last season has earned him the right to address that.'"
Our 1, 6 & 7 collectively aren't at top 3 level - yes if they all play well they can look good, but the 6&7 especially just have never got any cinsistency, I actually like Austin and I think this year he has stepped up but Sezer has just been a total flop, between inconsistent performances and injuries its just not been good enough.

| Pretty much spot on.
Our organisation, leadership, game control and structure have suffered.

| We can't play to a system because we only have one halfback who can control a game in Sezer, and he doesn't play consistently well enough. None of our other options has a clue how to manage a game, except maybe Sinfield, who's still an absolute tyro.
We could get away with that a bit more if our 9 was more of a playmaker, but O'Connor's still learning and is more of a workhorse than anything. We could also maybe get away with it if Myler didn't dissolve into mush every single time he's needed to act as a halfback, which at his age and with his experience ought to be an easy move, but like Sutcliffe he turns to jelly when he's needed to stand up and lead the team rather than be a support act.
Until we get our 1,6, and 7 sorted we'll continue to be hot and cold, and our best just won't be good enough.

Is Luke Brooks an organiser/playmaker? (I haven't watched much NRL in the recent years) I think there may be something in the rumours TBH

I would say heās at his best as running half back (something we also really need) but his organizational ability is better than either Sezer or Austin. Hard to compare SL and NRL half backs. What looks average in OZ tends to be MOS stuff over here.

Rohan has mentioned before he like running halfbacks so maybe he is targeting him

I agree, especially on Austin. He's been very good this year and will be a miss if he does indeed leave. Sezer - the least said the better.

| We need to push the boat out and get a qualified director of rugby to takeover from GH. Watching GH constantly trying to put out the fires he's caused got boring about 6 years ago. We literally can not move forward with him making the decisions because his hit rate is so poor. It's very similar to Orta at Leeds, there's only so long the club can outrun so many poor decisions.

| Smith today said if there's anything in the Luke Brooks rumours he knows nothing about it!,also we are keeping some of our overseas/ooc players and by the sounds of it he's pinning his hope's on Fusitua to turn the season around!

| Not sure how much Fusitua will accomplish before he's injured again.
If we end up keeping him and Sezar etc it's another season rebuilding / mediocrity.
Maybe after 10 years of it we get a free coffee

| Surely we can't be contemplating re-signing Sezer? We'd be very unlucky to replace him with someone less effective.

| 14 games played, 6 wins.
13 to go, reckon we need 9 wins to make the play offs.
With 7 away inc Wire, Saints and Catalan itās a big ask.
Next 2 are must win.
Iām not looking for champagne football on Sunday but simply far fewer errors and some good set completion and kicking

Iāll put my neck on the line and say weāre not getting in the playoffs. That would be a shocking season from all concerned.

Honestly I cant see past a home win Sunday, we are a shambles a true rudderless mess at the moment.
We have total form for underplaying against winless teams. I really hope I'm wrong.

| Even under strength if you lose to this Wakefield team Smith should do the honourable thing and walk. We are utterly terrible, completely devoid of attacking ideas and slack defensively. We are also lacking some of our better players, for what they are worth. Even at 50% youāll win.

Wakey couldnt score against 11 Salford players, I'd be massively shocked if we lost.

| Happy to be educated.....I haven't seen a match in person this year so I shall reserve judgement. On the radio "another Leeds handling error", "knocked forward", "tackled into touch", "another incomplete Leeds set". Why? Over-ambitious off-loading or players not good enough?

Very few are from over ambitious play. Lots of pretty basic mistakes, so Iād say players not good enough.
From last year we have lost Leeming, Prior, hardaker, Briscoe, Dwyer and Sutcliffe.
The players brought in McDonnell and MacDonald have been pretty good. Sangare, Lisone have made small contributions but the others have added nothing at this level and some been very poor.
So at this time I think the playing quality, to actually positively contribute at SL level has gone backwards which is a big problem.
My fear for Smith is that players many on here viewed as deadwood have been replaced by worse.

| Wakey will be up for it and likely make easy metres which will encourage them into the game .
Should be dry and sunny so we need to complete high and hope their poor attacking play continues.

| To think anything other than a comprehensive win against a team that hasn't won a single game is even being mentioned is preposterous we got to the Gf last year ffs I don't want to hear anymore cheap talk from Rs time to start delivering!
