Come on guys give us a break it isn't often we get chance to play one of the best clubs in the world and it's all meant as banter nothing else, remember when we played you a couple of years ago at Leigh and all the Leeds fans after the game said how welcoming our fans where. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season, i think you will win the grand final by the way.

It's hard to redevelop headingley due to it's location and it being used almost year round

East Terrace - fully redeveloped, now the Carnegie stand
North Stand - shared with YCCC who aren't prepared to stump up their share of the redevelopment costs
Western Terrace - unable to redevelop due to planning issues from the adjacent housing
Southstand - redevelopment plans were signed off and the work due to commence then Leeds City Council pulled the financial plug on their contribution

So we could do what you guys have done and sell our ground to some corporate developer and rent some council owned, sole-less, shared sporting facility (then gloat about it) or sit tight where we are for the time being and put up with what we have.

Option 2 for me.

Not to mention the significant investment in other areas such as the Lodge, the club shop, Kirkstall etc that has helped improved Leeds' finances along with top training facilities.

Plus the history of the place. Oozes from evey pore. Some say you can't polish a turd but you can certainly roll it in glitter.

Leeds have spent more on their stadium in the SL era than any club other than St Helens. And that includes Warrington.

Much of the ground is still a band-aid job though.

I don't think that's what I said - you seem to be having a difficulty interpreting my post. When I said "... Leeds City Council pulled the financial plug on their contribution", what I meant was the financial contribution that Leeds City Council where to give was pulled. I hope that's clear for you now.

What I didn't say was that the "council wont build anything for us". When an investor pulls out at the last minute it's difficult to instantly get another investor to fill their boots. This is the way when you own and maintain your own stadium, something you don't have to worry about when you're simply tenants, renting your facility.

Anyway paint it whatever colour you want - I know which stadium I'd rather be stood in come game nights.

Im intrigued at which quarter of the Carnegie Stand doesn’t exist? Is it the bottom quarter? because that seems dangerous

West stand isn’t ever going to be massively renovated, there is no point and no reason it would ever be cost-effective. The North Stand needs to be done with YCC so that’s a fairly complicated job. The Southstand will be done soon, when the club can get the Southstand they want not the one they were allowed to build at that time.

That’s the difference between Leeds and some of the less well run clubs, they don’t have to make short-term fire fighting decisions, then can take the time they need to secure the right long term ones.

Glad you lot don't like Headingley because you won't have to visit it again for many, many years.

I and would have thought most Leigh fans think Headingley is a great RL ground and on TV always sounds like a fantastic atmosphere, don't tar us all with the same brush LeedsDave. Oh and go easy on us when we play you.
