| My band will have no keyboards thank you very much. Always hard to choose.
Vocals - Freddie Mercury (Queen)
Guitar - Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin, obviously)
Guitar - Slash (Guns n Roses)
Bass - Tim Commerford (Rage Against the Machine)
Drums - Animal (The Muppets)... or maybe Dave Lombardo (Slayer) would be better - only their mothers can tell them apart.....
Tough to leave out people like Eric Clapton, Roy Orbison, Keith Moon, Igor Cavalera, James Hetfield, George Harrison, but hey, choices must be made.

He may be handy on bass too for all I know, but Tony Iommi was the guitarist in Sabbath... Geezer Butler was the bassist.
Just saying like.

Some fine choices sir. Didn't Geezer Butler play bass in Sabbath though?
Oh can't stand rush either

Bollards, of course he did - that was me reconsidering my guitar choice while pondering bass at the same time. Never could get the hang of multi-tasking.

Again, isn't Johnny Marr a guitarist, not a bassist?
Secondly, Phil Collins. Srsly?

I'm no fan of his solo work but he was/is a class drummer for Genesis.

Guitar; Andy Summers
Bass and Vocals: Sting
A band is far more than the sum of its parts, it's the melding of style and personality to create something you can't manufacture in a Frankenstein's Laboratory. If you replaced Andy Summers with Joe Satriani the Police would have sounded like $h!t.
Having said that I would have loved to have heard Jon Bonham, Jack Bruce and SRV jamming with Paul Rogers warbling away in the background.
