| Some effort from Clarky!
Would have been interesting to see how Bailey got on had he not picked up the injury? )Something that was mentioned by Harrigan I think??) If he only played 20 minutes and made 16 tackles? Not sure what minute he went off though?
Delaney's stats look impressive too.

| Yeah, Bailey was getting through a tonne of work before the injury. Does anyone remember just when he went off? I reckon he was easily on for 35 tackles and 120m

| Not much defensive effort for Kirke. Clarkson's stats are outstanding, not surprisingly matching his performance.

| Buderus was underwhelming and the stats support that.
Superb effort by Clarkson 39 and no misses. Although Kirke was much, much better compare what Bailey did with his 24 mins to Kirke over the whole game.
Whilst I though Sinny was a little off the boil he still put in plenty of defensive work.

About on the 25 minute mark.
He was working hard and was very, very effective.
There was no need to re-introduce him later in the match. He was intensively warming up on the touchline wanting to get back on, but Mac made the decision to leave the caged beast to vent his pain out on Cas. Also inspired by him feeling his back as well. Leeds are a much better team with TMFMISL playing, obviously. He continues his excellent run of form.
Clarky did what he did best last week. Ran his lines hard and well and looked for side one-on-one tackles. Buying JJB time inn defensive workrate and turning that into effective drives. Like I said before, it was a good team effort of sharing the work-load in the pack.

One of the Buderus errors is the intercepted pass from Dummy half that let Witt(?) race away to score. Given that Witt was at least 2 metres offside (it was level with where I was sitting) and Leeds should have had the penalty, that reduces Buderus error count to the same as Clarkson who in your words made a "superb effort".
But don't worry folks, there's no agenda...
ps, I agree Sinfield did look a little off the pace, but he may be understandably tired after carrying the rest of the team on his back so far this season.

Do you know, the more you post, the more I actually think you are Ryan Bailey
And yeah, I noticed him on the "bike" for the majority of the 2nd half. As you say, there was no real need to bring him back on.

| Given that this was the second Easter fixture it seems a bit harsh to read too much into the errors, missed tackles and work-rates of individual players who played twice.

My bad. I forgot the rules. Buderus's errors are never his fault. This one was clearly the fault of
a. Witt, the cheating barsteward
b. The referee who failed to recognise Buderus's importance to the game over here and should've brought it back and let Danny have another go at passing
c. Paul McShane. How dare he come on and play better than Danny, doesn't he know his place?
d. Anyone other than Danny Buderus.
e. All of the above.

| You don't even need to put bait on the hook these days do you
FWIW I thought he was competent, but not necessarily game changing. He did what he does well, provide fast accurate service for the halves and gets stuck into tackling (I'm surprised at his tackle efficiency it seemed higher on the day). McShane came on and played well against a pack that were already tiring. The McShane / Buderus combination looks like a good one to me, where both players offer different skills and advantages.

You've all totally miss the point.
Buderus is so good, so legendary, so integral to our squad, he's always trying to do the right thing. He clearly thought to himself;
You know what, if we hammer this lot the boards will go crazy and the boys will get a little ahead of themselves. I think what's needed is a nice modest score line. Something that says, "We've won at a canter, but there's work to be done". Something that just keeps us a bit grounded, so that we work that little bit harder in training next week. Plus, we've got this lot in the Challenge Cup week after next, so we don't want to nil them otherwise we could go into that game with the wrong mentality.
Then, 70 minutes in, it's 24-4 and we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves. Buderus realises that now is the time. All in a matter of milli-seconds, he astutely spots Witt offside waiting for the intercept, checks whether Child is watching so as not to ruin his plan, looks to see whether Hall would catch him, and whether Webb could get across, and decides the moment is right. He quickly works out the correct trajectory, and fires the pass at the perfect speed and angle to allow Witt maximum opportunity to go the length of the field.
We're through to the next round of the cup, because of that pass.
Danny Buderus, take a bow.

| Good to see Sinfield's defensive stats, back where he belongs in the middle of the field for part of the game.
Looking at the tackling stats they must have gone left an incredible amount. I know most teams favour that side but not to this extent!

| On a normal weekend the update for all the games (regardless of whether they were played Friday, Saturday or Sunday) is on the following Monday morning.
Easter throws the updates out. The weekend prior to the Easter fixtures saw the site update a day early but the second round of Easter fixtures didn't update to late Wednesday afternoon.
I expect this weekend it will be Tuesday due to the Hull - St Helens game being held over to the Bank Holiday.
