Just too many errors tonight. We was always a big man or 2 light and then to lose our 2 biggest men made it difficult. The effort was there, the spirit was clear to see but Catalans deserved to win.

Pretty obvious we are moving forward but we arent there yet but its obvious how we can improve dramatically by strengthening just a couple of positions. Hopefully funds can be made available to do that.

Overall a pleasing season really, silverware a big bonus.

Lets see what the off season brings.

We've made progress no doubts but this Squad is still light on size & quality.
We had a dig last night & tbf errors aside we could have won that game despite losing Ava & Mikolaj but alas it wasnt to be.
Kendall Hicks & the TJ's were abysmal but Catalans out muscled us upfront & took their chances.
Going forward no more Ferres type signings also i know its done now but i hope we dont sign Thompson type fowards either.
He grafts no doubts but we need younger more explosive with more quality.
I also hope last night is Lui's last game he just isnt good enough either.
Interesting pre-season ahead hopefully we build on the positives, Long can add spark to our attack & we recruit quality.
Id also like to see Walters Tindall Broadbent etc intergrated more into the 1st Team.

From the outside looking in and whilst it's difficult to accept after a defeat in the play offs i think Leeds can take a huge amount out of this season. A Challenge Cup win is a superb achievement and you produced one of the best performances (probably the best performance) from Leeds in the last few years in the semi final where you mullered us all over the pitch. At the start of the season looking at your squad i had you down for about 7th place but Agar has somehow brought forward the transition by a couple of years. Think you are still a little bit off yet but who knows what the recruitment will be like. The bigger picture of course is that Leeds must have been playing with a lot of emotion all season because of Rob Burrow and as long as Leeds and the Rugby League community continue to rally around him and his family then what happens on the pitch comes a very distant 2nd.

I certainly dont see it as a 6-8 game ban and im shocked people think it was that bad. It was nothing like John Hopoate's incidents but i dont know what Tomkins was playing at.

Your analogy is flawed, you know that really.

Go back to April 2017 when Ferres put a crusher tackle on Gildart who stayed down. No on-field penalty from Thaler until the video ref intervened resulting in a penalty and sin-bin (plus a subsequent 6 match ban). With that in mind I just cannot understand how Hicks kept schtum on both last night's incidents.
As for McNamara's response to Sky's questions in the post match interview "What incidents are you talking about?" that was the type of petulant response you'd expect from a stroppy teenager.
I also used to enjoy watching Catalans but under McNamara they've become a dirty, cynical side. Even someone as talented as Maloney was making head shot after head shot but only got penalised late on when it mattered less.

That's a false equivalence. For your apology to be valid, a finger bang would have to be legal in RL, like a rugby tackle is, which it isn't.
