| If we are losing Hardaker,Achurch and Falloon and hopefully one of Delaney or jjb we should have enough to sign a hooker, full back and keep Ferres who I think deserves a chance.

Delaney and JJB are fine if your starting backrowers in Ward and Ablett are fit. If those two were fit then Delaney and JJB could play bit part roles which would be totally suitable for them at this stage in their careers.
If you get rid then who do you sign who wouldn't be starters if everyone is fit but suitable enough to fill in?

| If we have Ablett and Ferres as starting back row, Ward at LF and then keinhorst and one of Delaney or JJB.
Both have been good players who put in huge efforts but jjb is hitting 34/35? And has had some bad I juries. Delaney seems to be unable to play a full game or regain 100% fitness and keep it.
Retaining both seems fool hardy.

| I just think that now a FB,hooker and play making half back are top priority. If we are losing Achurch and Falloon and then one of jjb and maybe Burrow then getting those three positions filled with quality should be possible along with keeping Ferres.
We will still have depth in the back row and HB and Lilley could cover hooker and learn from the new HB we sign.

You make it sound so simple...maybe you should have GH's job
Truth is this season aint over yet....more chance we will struggle to hold onto anybody that we have rather than be in a position to sign anybody new, certainly of note.

Deffo not easy but as treble winners, without assume cash to spare and still most of a quality team (albeit a badly injured one ) we should still be able to attract decent players.

Agree we need an organiser but it could be the 7. Sell hardaker, buy gale put moon to 6. If the new hooker rumours are true., our defence would look much stronger with moon at 6, Jimmy k and Watkins at centre and try sutcliffe at 1. Gale kicking and offering structure with moon playing more off the cuff would be a good combo for me. This board is certainly rumourtastic at the moment.

| For goodness sake, be realistic, gale isn't gonna come to leeds, just signed new long term contract at cas, moon isn't going to play half back, cant control a game. Realistically, I would be very happy with Luke Dorn. Could get him on the cheap which we all know GH will like. Supposed to be retiring at the end of the year, don't think it will be hard to convince him to go round again for another 1 or 2 years and help goulding learn the full back role better. Would rather an experienced full back who has done it for years rather than someone learn the position a la sutcliffe or watkins. Imo Dorn would a great addition and be a great link with our halves which i think hardaker seriously lacks in his game

| League express says Leeds interested in bringing in Morgan Escare if they are to lose Hardaker before the deadline.
Newcastle, Gold Coast and Canberra have already expressed interest in Hardaker.

He's going back to oz or he'd have gone again at Cas. League Express should be an interesting read tomorrow. Gale giving his reasons for committing to Cas for 5 years.

Yes, of course.
Gale (who still feels he was treated badly at Leeds) has just signed a five year deal at a club not at risk of relegation. Why on earth would he want to move?

Was Gale the same Cas player who text you after the Leeds/Cas game a few weeks ago telling you that McDermott had resigned in the dressing room afterwards?

No.
Though apparently the speech he gave to the Leeds players gave the impression it was his last game.
Obviously, it was either misinterpreted or things changed.

| You may be able to sign Hull's Jamie Shaul for circa 500.000.

I have no idea if gale would come to Leeds but I saw him twice at the end of last season having a meal with his old man pre game at headingley. Gale signing a long contract at cas means Leeds have to pay a bigger fee if they want to get him. Hardaker is on long contract. Chase, Clark and Sneyd have all left cas in recent years. He may well be better off from a playing and coaching perspective at cas. But Leeds need to make some big changes or the current slow, dull tripe being offered will continue. If the ambition at Leeds is now so low that we won't even try and get Gale we are in for some pretty poor fare to come IMHO.

The difference is that Leeds want rid of Hardaker and he wants to leave.
Cas want to keep Gale and he is willing to commit to the club for five years.
Chase angled for leaving for about a year after Koukash offered him ridiculous money (which I doubt GH will be willing to do).
Clark didn't actually want to leave Cas at the time but the club were not in a financial position to turn down Warrington's offer (whereas now the club are in a much more stable financial position).
Sneyd didn't actually leave Cas, he was with us for a year on loan as part of the deal that took Chase to Salford. At the end of his loan year, Hull offered Salford a transfer fee we were not willing to match.

That Cas player must have tremendous hearing. The Leeds dressing room is way down one corridor and the away dressing room is way down another across where the players come out. Impressive.

It was a comment made by a Leeds player as both sides mingled to give interviews after the game.
