| You’ve got to remember that this Wigan Warriors side are the underlings to Leeds Rhinos when it comes to recent success. The only year they’ve done better than us is last year and that was only just. Still we beat them in a challenge cup game and a playoff game.
Wigan fans might go on about ancient history. But no one from back then is in this current Wigan team so it’s a completely different thing. Let’s be honest Wigan under Noble were very much like Leeds are now under Brian McDermott. Wigan wasn’t badly coached but they certainly weren’t brilliantly coached either. It was just put a bit of effort in when the times right.
Now under Michael Maguire Wigan have absolutely transformed from chancers into champions. Leeds are the chancers this time around and based on recent history I think Leeds have a very big chance indeed to come away from Wembley with the challenge cup.

True, but when the chips were down and it REALLY mattered, Noble's Wigan never quite had enough.
I don't expect an easy ride in the final, but from what we've seen from Maguire's Wigan, we usually find something extra in the big games.

The world club challenge is a fine example of Wigan not finding that something extra in a big game in this year alone. I’ll give Wigan credit for last year’s Grand Final and the way you’ve conducted yourselves in the challenge cup run. I think it'll be Leed's game based on recent history such as Leeds running Wigan very close and knocking them out of the challenge cup last year.
Plus this Leeds side has the knack of been underdogs and coming out on top. They did it very impressively in 2007 and 2008.

Fair enough.
Just to be awkward, , I'll take reference from finding a performance to knock Leeds out of the playoffs at Headingley (when it really mattered) last year as well as this year's cup run. St.George were worthy winners in the WCC, but we'll see in 3 weeks who turn up the best.

You’re not been awkward at all
Wigan Warriors are in fantastic form but it never lasts forever. Josh Charnley, Pat Richards and Sam Tomkins in recent weeks have been an absolute pleasure to watch. Sam has finally got that nonsense out of his game and it has done him well.

Agree about Charnley and Sam T...but Richards is over-rated (and BJB will 'skin' him again).
They'll all be laughing other side of their faces when you, I and Lion are proven right. Leeds for t'cup

Then don't waste your time on here and head off to Skybet where you can find Leeds at 5/2 to win the cup.
Personally I prefer the 3/1 which I struck on Wigan earlier in the season.

Best odds I can find are Stan James who are currently offering 3/1 on Leeds.

| One thing that is in Leeds' favour is that Wigan are chasing the double.
This means that they're going to have to go 100% in the league for the next couple of weeks to try to keep their league top spot.
As for Leeds, we've got about the best run to the final we could hope for ... I forget who we're playing this week and then a run to London ( "London in London" (c) G Murray) the week before the final and whilst not advocating taking it easy, we could be faced with a lot worse opposition prior to the final.
Now that we've secured a cup final berth, no-one at Leeds can surely be concentrating on the League and if we beat Cas and London, we're virtually assured a finish within the top 8.
If we don't and even finish outside the top eight, I think most fans would trade that in for a win at Wembley ...
Our main priority is avoiding the injuries we copped in the run up last year, like Peacock and Biff Burgess.
