Seriously, despite the absence of linebreaks, he always took at least three defenders out of the play to stop him, quicker PTBs than the rest of the Wigan front row and AFAIR didn't commit a turnover at all.
He's the player every team has picked on to expose either at marker or in the line, and wasn't tonight.

I thought that Long's kicking game was on a par with his usual performances with GB. i.e. distinctly average.
However, I thought he did very well defensively.
Two crucial tackles and not blown away as has happened in other games. Potter really has improved that apect of his game.
Be interesting to see what he looks like with Hull.

Not a lot of Pryce, which is the type of player he is. If there's a bit of a roll on, not many better at jumping up to acting half or taking that first pass and making something of it. Just wasn't that kind of game tonight.
I think Saints could struggle without a real [ihands on the ball every set[/i organiser, next year.

Even match, think calls went both ways. Long played well. Be a tough match next week, but I think if Leeds play to their potential they should win. Pepper Gardner and dominate there pack.

No scrum half ever had a good game against Kevin Dick. I'm not saying Dick was much use with the ball all the time (did he ever once pass a ball from the scrum other than at Wembley?), but even Peter Sterling got "Dicked" at Hull. Andy Gregory had a permenant brown trouser moment whenever he had the mis-fortune to be opposite him on the pitch.
