To go back to the OP, I won't be going, as I have no interest in the welsh club and I can't be bothered to travel all the way down there to watch a one sided contest and travel all the way back!

It mightn't be that one sided, we arent playing the best of rugby and they'll be all out to put on a show for the Newport crowd.

Personally, I'm heading down on Friday night and staying in Bristol, and taking the short 15 minute train ride to Newport for the game. Should get there early enough to explore a bit and get a few beers. I'm staying over again on Saturday night and coming home early Sunday morning.

Ditto that ... Going on one of the 'unofficial' trips and are therefore likely to be about two hundred quid better off than going on the club's official stop over trip.

Anyway, given that I'll be on the dole a week after I need to watch the pennies, as well as the pounds!

I understand that there's a lot of families going on the trip, but do they honestly believe that a trip there is going to make people more likely to booK?

Going on the official club coaches is the way to (almost) guarantee you get there at the correct time , and on the correct date , regardless of SKY alterations . If SKY or whoever decides to switch the venue/date/time , then the club will switch your travel accordingly , and at no extra cost or inconvemience.
It also helps in a small way to support your club financially .
