Hey McLF, how the hell do I train the postman to close the gate after him? I've asked him politely several times, he does it that once then 'forgets' until I ask again. Their internal law states they must leave a gate as they find it, open/closed/ajar, a bit of searching has revealed I'm not alone and those extra seconds to close a gate are precious to posty... Sick of local stray dogs doing brown whippys on my path as a result of this.
I'm not fond of the spring closers as they damage the latch after a while.

Nail it shut and then put a little triangular diagram of a stick postie climbing over a gate on it in the style of those "Men at Work" signs you see on roadsides when no-ones working.
Then get used to collecting your mail from the sorting office, the lazy bar-stards. |
