I think it'll be close. I've a sneaky feeling that Leeds' intensity and focus will drop a notch or two following Wigan and Saints back-to-back. And Cas aren't the wisest choice of team with which to take liberties.

I don't think we'll take them lightly but I do think the last two efforts will have taken a bit out of us too. Can see this being the first game we concede 20+ points but reckon we'll be able to score more.
I'll go Leeds by around 32-22

I don't think it'll be a case of taking them lightly, more a case that it's difficult for any side to lift itself for 3 consecutive games.

Cas love scoring points, be interesting to see how they fair if it's a tight game.
For what's it's worth I'm predicting a tight, low scoring game, with Leeds just edging it.

| I can see it being a tight one for the first half, but I think with a couple more days rest and our much improved defence in the regular rounds so far we will end up having far too much for Cas in the last half hour and win by 20-30 points.

| Really looking forward to this one. Fatigue/fitness and discipline may be the deciding factors but it should be a great game and with not so much space at the Jungle I anticipate the forward battle to be crucial.
I expect Bish and Ward may well both play in place of those not recovered from knocks. I also expect Sinfield to start at 6 as his organisation is the key to giving Leeds a good start. As the games settles down Sinfield will then revert to 9 as he did against Wigan and interchange between the two as required. Clarkson therefore may well start at 9 again but if Ward is selected he could fill this role equally well as he is/was a half back.

| Kicking games will be vital ,Which is why we need Sinfield in the halves as much as possible
Our Backline has made great metres and set a really good platform most sets for us. They also show a great threat from deep which forces teams in to sometimes more defensive kicks. If Cas don’t get a good kicking game going then they will put themselves on the back foot defensively every set. Its difficult to keep a team of Leeds quality out if they are starting their attacking sets 30 metres out from their goal line and getting over the half way on the 2nd and 3rd tackles.
From the otherside there is a bit of an opportunity with our kicking game, Webster and Carney are both big strong fast lads, difficult to stop once they get going. However neither are the quickest off the mark and both have the turning circle of a fully laden oil tanker. I’d like to see us try and ‘Big Les’ Carney with our from deep, get him turned around and chasing backwards and tire him out, and get the chasers up on him quickly so he doesn’t build up a head of steam, up close and mid-range I’d definitely target him with some low kicks through. But we can't telegraph them by having Sinfield switching from Dummy Half on kick plays
Cas score a lot of points, they concede a fair few too, but their game is an attacking one. If we can keep it tight and frustrate them going forward there is definitely opportunities for us to attack and score points and we could get a comfortable victory. If we don’t defend like we have, and Cas can frustrate us for the first half hour or so, get a good kicking game going and they take the chances they get, the crowd will get with them, they will get a bit of a roll on and its difficult to switch momentum against a team as committed as a Cas one when they are playing Leeds.

The kicks need to be high and at the fullback, with a very good chase. How we have being kicking last two games, and one I thought was wrong for the opposition. This opposition is right for it. They do not have the fullback of Saints and Wigan, and he is susceptible to brain farts with ball in hand.
I would keep it away from Carney as much as possible, and try and keep the ball from getting to him full stop.

Would go with that.
Regarding the Carney tactic it must be remembered that the 'Big Les' plan worked on the much more spacious Old Trafford pitch compared to the smaller Whatever-It's-Called-Now-Jungle-Hose-Coliseum.

| Leeds were let off in a way last week as Wigan constantly chose to pass the ball laterally rather than doing the hard stuff down the middle. can't see that happening today. So the pack needs to stand up.

i disagree, i think putting it up high risks Cas the opportunity to get it wide early in the count with a bit of space against a disorganised line.
Even if the full back doesnt spread it when catches it, 1st tackle would see it go wide and Cas have been getting joy that way.

| I think actually in terms of overall play we're doing alright but we've come up more individual errors.
Briscoe double error for the first try, Hardaker let himself get taken into touch and messed up a PTB.
Whoever keep the errors the lowest in the 2nd half should win.

I just think the Sunday / Thursday turnaround caught up with them in the second half. Not the team you want to face with that short a space between games.

That's a possibility, I would say leeds were a lot more thoughtful and composed than Cas 2nd half. We put in some top quality kicks which hung up in the in goal area and chased Brilliantly.
Cas I think struggled with that at times, it may be a mental thing that Leeds had the confidence to grind it out and only risk it when the opportunity was there. Cas seemed to push at times when it wasn't really on.
