Great day out, had some good banter with fans in the crown and Horse & Jockey before hand, was great to see the turnout from Leeds fans!

Widnes fans, got to give you credit, stuck behind your team and didn't leave them. Players showing signs of improvement and I don't think it will be long before you start getting points on the board.

Do you have any idea how small widnes is? get real. we have a population comparable to castleford, with 3 of the most successful teams of recent years within a stones throw.

I wasn't questioning it because I disagreed with him, I was genuinely interested to know how he was able to produce such a precise figure i.e what was the source of his information.
Nothing more sinister nor quibbling than that.

Re the Wolves game, I also wondered at that since they too play on a Sunday, whereas both Saints & Wigan - both relatively close neighbours - play generally on Friday nights.
In the 70s & 80s when Widnes were so successful they regularly attracted crowds I'd have thought well in excess of Sunday's game.
I was not being critical of the club & I'm well aware of the size of Widnes relative for instance to Cas, the size of whose crowds Widnes should be aiming to emulate or even exceed given the capacity & state of their stadium.
Far from it, I was being supportive of their efforts unlike the locals.
They moaned like mad when they didn't get in last time but aren't turning up now that they are.
