At last an explanation for Eaton's role at Leeds.

| Your best spell in the game was when hardaker was in the bin. His first act when returning was to give away a penalty for double movement. I notice Golding has received a fair bit of flack this year but his performances at FB were a damn sight better then what hardaker served up Saturday.

I agree with your first sentence. Hardaker has been appalling this year. Golding is very poor. Too lightweight for Super League. If Mac is going to settle on Lilley and McGuire as the halves then I'd give Sutcliffe a shot at full back. Hardaker can go for me. He's offered nothing.

The double movement was not only harsh but understandable to go for the line in the circumstances (scoreline, time remaining) and most players would've gone for the line. But agree he wasn't great again on Saturday. Isa's second try when the grubber went through I thought Hardaker would beat Isa to the ball but he looked so sluggish getting across and Isa got in ahead of him comfortably in the end.

Far from me to agree with nantwichexile (I feel filthy) id be tempted to put Sutcliffe in at centre until Moon returns. Then have Keinhorst in the back row to tackle anything that moves.

Tipped Sutcliffe's future position as centre/attacking 2nd rower (instead of our usual workhorse ones) a couple of years back. Over 2 years later I've seen nothing to change that. Not good enough for the halves and better options for loose which I'm not sure he'd be up to the defensive work on a weekly basis.

Sorry, and I genuinly mean this not to pick at anything, but no you didn't. Only Juan Cornetto has raised the centre position as best for Sutcliffe, and it was last season, and I followed this up this season quoting Juan Cornetto as centre would be best going forward for Sutcliffe. Not at any time of those discussions did you state the same.
You might have a post of your declaration, and if so I sincerely apologise, but never have you mentioned it whilst these other discussions have took place. And I am referring to centre.

Called it after watching the Hunslet friendly early 2014 in which whilst he was meant to be playing halves he spent the game near as dammit holding hands with the guy playing centre. Not repeated it on every discussion about him since as I was prepared to give him time but doesn't mean I've changed my view. I like yourself have never been sold on him in the halves and I'd prefer someone more workhorse/bigger for loose. Did also suggest at time he could possibly give us an attacking 2nd row option to go with all our workhorse ones.

Having racked my brains, I do recall you saying about 2nd row, but not centre. But whatever, if you say you did then so be it. But really Juan Cornetto has actually consistently said centre, which makes me chuckle at him now offering fullback, as Sutcliffe has also been tried there and absolute 5h1te is the result.

| I wouldn't mind seeing Sutcliffe given a run at centre, could very well work out. keep him away from the halves for a while anyway as he is certainly struggling for confidence as much as anyone.

If I didn't say centre more often it's because we looked so well set there long term with Watkins and Moon that it seemed a no goer.

| Noticeable who volunteered/was conscripted to go play on the right wing when Hardaker was in the sin bin on Saturday.
Made a half decent fist of it as well. Late in his Leeds career have we finally discovered Achurch's best position?

Mad a lovely break until he lost the ball in collision. Big girls blouse. Bet he was the first to volunteer to hide out there.

| Looked almost terrified the times when he couldn't get out of the way of someone passing to him. That big with that speed? It's rediculous.

I thought about shifting Watkins to full back, could be the change he needs. Looked promising when he was a youngster.
Also, I finally have to agree with you about Hardaker who I have defended in the past. No doubt he can play much better than he is at his best he is superb, but he's an idiot and developing into a disgrace to the shirt. Thought he would learn from his mistakes as he got older and more experienced but the way he's crumbled this year under pressure is very disappointing.

Centre could be Sutcliffe's best position. I wouldn't have him in the back row - don't think he's strong enough defensively to play there though offensively he'd probably do quite well. When Moon's back we could go with him and Sutcliffe in the centres with Keinhorst in the back row who, like others have said, will tackle anything. With regards to Watkins and Hardaker, who knows, it's looking more and more likely that one of them, if not both, won't be here for much longer.

| A lot of fans are of the opinion that the first crucial step towards Leeds turning the corner from this bewildering slump is to replace the current coach. I have some sympathy for that opinion.
However, replacing the current coach isn't the first crucial step. Getting rid of the Serial Miscreant is. The negatives he now brings to the club far outweigh any positives. It was only a matter of time and I'm surprised it's taken this long to finally register.

| As for Sutcliffe to centre...he has been tried there and was far from impressive; ditto at FB. Watkins has also been tried at FB and although inconsistently good on attack he was pretty poor on defence. Golding is simply too lightweight.
I guess Watkins is worth another run at FB. To fill the centre spot (with the return of Briscoe and Hall) I would be more inclined to try Handley there rather than Sutcliffe.
Keinhorst IMO is a better second rower.

I still think centre would be his best position but offered fullback as an alternative. I actually would prefer to move Watkins to fullback where I think he would regain his attacking flair with the extra space and I have said this previously on several occassions

| But it doesn't appear the coach sees it that way although I'm sure you're both still right.
Hardaker is still Leeds' best known option at full-back and as you never used to tire of telling the board the best way to regain form is to keep playing in 1st grade.

| Our problems run much deeper than Hardaker/Watkins non exsistent form imo once again we are in the game then melt away on the back of conceding poor penalties & shocking defending
It may well be that certain players want out but the clear out should include all the Coaches/Staff imo because its obvious whatever they are instructing its getting ignored/nowhere near working.
