Speculation on the writers part?, insider information? Who knows but I haven't seen anything or anyone else that has picked up on it as yet.

So the question has to be asked - Is Jamie Jones-Buchanan set to retire or leave the Rhinos?

The article that raises these questions is to be found in the League Weekly, namely the match report from the Wolfpack game Written by Jonathan Dodge. In amongst all the usual post match analysis is the following comment - "However, Joel Moon waved goodbye on the back of the proverbial nightmare performance, and after all his endeavours over such a long time, it was not a farewell befitting Jamie Jones-Buchanan"

Watching Cas tonight, I'm quite relieved we landed furner and didn't break the bank for Powell.

Not sure you can blame Powell too much, his players have really let him down tonight just really dumb at times and lacking composure and general ball control lacking throughout. They had enough territory this second period to win the game.

If it was a one-off I'd agree. No improvement to be seen in that side when the chips are down though.

CasForum is worth a read - they reckon they need a similar clear out to us, with many putting the blame on DP. Players make the difference in big games. All a coach can do is develop those players had give a game plan. If they don’t then push themselves with the right mentality in those big games, they can only blame themselves.

that is spot on. it was the so called big players like gale and mcshane who bottled it. again.

Powell has a poor record in big games overall. Although, they've done well to get so far this year, they've not been the same side after the Hardaker side show

Luke Gale can't seem to be the game manager in these big important games.
