Out of interest, could anyone tell what we've been working on this last fortnight? We didn't do a single thing any better than last time out as far as I could see

I can guess as i have seen it for the last 8 years .

I'm talking about the last 6 years.

I thought Leeds 1 6 7 and 9 were all poor tonight and personally don't think Johnson really changed that.
Three of them are the wrong side of 30 and it showed and our distribution from 9 was poor all night. Bentley McDonnell and Mcdonald were all decent and Walters had his moments.

You're right, but for me leeds general shtness has put anything the ref did in the the shade as what we actually can control, ie not the ref, was crap and I've lost count of the bad performances this year.

We are dumb no composure little idea in any structured attack, that combined with a complete bias ref some iffy decisions went their way at crucial times, that Holroyd no high tackle and the ridiculous holding down un punished, Wellens having emails with the RFL worked for them.

This. And until we see evidence otherwise, backed up with performances like this, I'll back anyone to be very sceptical.

But hey, we were in the game til the end, that must be a good thing right?! Competitions thriving!

Not a great performance that one - Saints there for taking and we just made too many errors and bad decisions again.

The ruck is terrible the refs need to give the defenders two seconds to clear the ruck on completion or penalise them.

We need a bit of a rethink over the rules around high tackles and the ruck because the spectacle is really suffering.

Not sure whether or not we’ll make the 6 but that’s not helped and nor did last week…

Correct Seth , if we can get Milford and Stanningley in Super League for a televised close game then everyone will be happy

2 weeks to prepare against a depleted Saints side and we get beat. Deary deary me… this is just not acceptable. Absolutely fed up of it

If Saints were unhappy with the Asiata tackles they forgot to tell Bell.
Nothing in either of those sort of tackles.
Smith had a terrible game but has in the past been the only player with a brain.
Yes Bentley came out of the line to put pressure on Lomax and it didn`t work that time.
But he put pressure on him several times before that and completely put Lomax off his game.
Halves once again not controlling the game and if in doubt we give it to MacDonald.
O`Connor poor and Johnson only slightly better.
Unfortunately Tomkins Mark 2 was the difference.
Playing a team after a semi final loss was a good opportunity for us to bag the 2 points but it took us 15 minutes to wake up.
Salford and KR deserve to be in the playoffs ahead of us.

That’s sport and especially this year it’s unpredictable

All the we should have won this and that game scenario is not true , we have not won them because we are not good enough or clever enough , not because we have been unlucky

It is not that unpredictable as we are usually rubbish

Just to add, i was never in the give Austin what he wants camp and im even less in it now

If it’s possible to replace him and Sezer id be doing it, you know me im not doom and gloom but I do think we need to sort the halfback situation out

That is sport but its also very leeds. And can you see us moving forward with the evidence based on this year.

Yet we’ve hammered the league leaders, battered Wigan and Warrington beaten Saints at home and lost to the bottom 2 we aren’t that predictable

Christopher, we often see different sides of the same coin and I respect your view. How do you see this Leeds team, the coaching staff and the prospects for the next year or two?

As you know, I’m concerned that we are not making enough progress quickly enough, we seem to be either accepting of mediocrity, or there isn’t enough drive to make the changes that could lead to an improvement in fortunes.

How do you see the current position (league and progress) and how do you assess the prospects for the next two years?

Depends on recruitment and if the younger players kick on more, we won’t move forward unless we get at least one consistent decent halfback
