| Some really pleasing stuff, not a backward step from anyone. That said I'll be glad to get bodies back as we'll struggle to break down any team with current personnel. But with a cutting edge we could be very good. Do

| Thought we played as well as we could expect to really.
We kept it tight, held our own in the arm wrestle and were undone by mistakes of our own making (and a frankly bafflingly anal descision from Kendall) but all in all, happy we showed the right attitude and fight.

| Very impressed with young Gannon again.
Walters tried hard tonight. Feel a bit sorry for Broadbent as he’s not really a fullback but he’s pretty good under those high balls. Thought Donaldson was terrific in D again. Both Briscoes much better this week.
Still see a side which will be better for another years development.

| Broadbent was a bit naive getting pushed back for a drop out. His line was wrong and he didn't get low enough.

| Strong defence from Alex Sutcliffe once more, Broadbent looking assured at the back, Walters & Gannon good too. The Briscoe's were much improved too. Rhyse Martin having a nightmare time of it at the moment though. Shocking reffing from Kendall

| Never thought I'd be so pleased after 3 losses. Great effort. Need men back, composure and some flsir in attack but when they do they'll be a tough team to beat. The ethic is clear to see. If isn't the base of next great Leeds team in play I'll be surprised. Loved the last 3 games. Now just need to get results.

Totally agree, we have a chance to maybe scrape a few wins in the next few games especially if we get some bodies back

| The season was delayed and pre season games were limited. It was stupid to start full contact training at the normal time. Some injuries are unlucky, but our season was over before it started. Somewhat self inflicted. Also whilst Walters doesn't look out of place like Hall did, I don't see anything special there. He seems too tall for his youthful frame to be effective. O'Connor also isn't strong enough yet. Am happy youth is getting a chance though. Tindall is raw, but has potential, Alex Sutcliffe is impressing and Broadbent is very confident. At the minute though, we don't look like posting points against the good sides. At least we're not getting thrashed though.

| Quote ="Jrrhino"Another Gutsy and determined performance from the team tonight we've just got too much personnel missing atm. But every player should be proud of their effort last couple of week it's there for all too see. Oldezki take a bow plating full 80 mins at prop and was best forward on pitch. T.Briscoe gets a lot of stick but he works very well in our team for me coming out of yardage he is one of best wingers in SL at helping our pack out and when people say he's out of position and not marking his winger you have too understand sometimes he has no choice but too come in and try kill the opposition attack if his centre has bit I'm he has too follow to try kill play. Eastmond showed some good touches in second half goof cut out pass too L.Briscoe and forced a repeat set with a nice grubber kick but he was never gonna set world a light in first performance in over a year and first RL game In nearly 10 years. Martin had a couple of bad errors in second half missing touch from pen and then a really soft miss for hastings try could be down too fatigue but should have made that tackle and will probably be disappointed in himself, Broadbent, A.Sutcliffe doing themselves all favours with there performances and getting valuable game time. Kendall decisions really baffle me I don't understand he's thought process when he makes decisions like the Mellor ptb & penalising Prior for a high shot on Hardaker but not getting into terrible reffing. Overall I'm looking forward too rest of season when we start getting players back we will go well and compete with any team in SL and hopefully be there or there abouts when plays are here.'"
The tackled player has got to regain his feet, he didn't.

| I couldn’t watch the game but will catch it tonight. From what I’ve read we put up a great fight. 2 years ago we’d have got 50 put past us in the last two games with a weakened team which is a real positive.
Fingers crossed we’ve a handful back next week. We really could do with a win

| Have to say the tackle and ruck area of Super League is a complete and utter mess. Really thought last night was awful, we was probably worse than Wigan for it actually. It really needs sorting. This ball steal nonsense is making it awful to watch.
Attack wise we are clearly disjointed which is understandable given the make up of the team but the spirit, desire and guts is there for all to see but we badly need some strike back.
Mikolaj terrific effort again, Prior, couple of errors early but again giving his all. Thought young Walters, Sutcliffe, Gannon (briefly) and Broadbent all excellent. If players and big earners like Martin had a heart a quarter the size of those lads we would be ok.
Have to say I would throw both our hookers in the bin. Terrible. Leeming was very poor for me playing totally for himself. Headless chicken runs from dummy half, off slow play the balls, terrible kicking, passing to wrong man on the last tackle. Dwyer's distribution is beyond a joke. Im fed up of watching it most weeks now. People seem to think a quick aimless scoot makes a decent nine even if their general play is garbage.
Weve the makings of a team when some players return, there is real potential and the team is really giving it a real go and there are some real positives but last night frustrated me i have to say. Scrappy game.

| Ref was awful last night. Wigan score immediately after Bullock illegally moved 2-3m off the mark for the Hardaker try, and then same again with Mellor's supposedly incorrect PTB while he was injured. There was one blatant ball steal that we managed to get away with, but most of the calls went Wigan's way - esp. with high shots. Shorrocks got away with a couple of blatant ones before he finally got pinged.
We're simply missing a bit of strike out wide and a half-back to get the ball there. Great effort from the young kids and the likes of Oledski and Prior. Broadbent confident but his positional game at FB was exposed a few times and that cost us points. Leeming looked very sharp when on (IMO), I'm not sure the criticism of him is so justified. Dwyer was more effectively dealt with this time.
I thought Tom Briscoe finally showed why he was the only first choice back playing. Sadly, the rest of the team should have been there to support when he made the break.

| Of course, the big unknown is how proficient our attack will be when we do get the bodies back. Poor last plays are nowt new for us and we've often ended up in close games we really should have strolled. So while the pack, the kids, the defence have been great it's far from a done deal that all will be roses just as soon as we're at strength

Mellor wasn't exactly lying down he just had his leg at the side with cramp and he made a clear attempt to play the ball with his foot,, they'll be far worse ptb's let go this season that's for sure.

| Yeh I thought Leeming had a decent game. Not spectacular.
He’s very good in defence and hits hard.
Dwyer’s passing is ridiculous, but actually his erratic style makes him dangerous.
Would kill for a Buderus, but these two are what we’ve got.
Regarding Tom Briscoe, I do still have a problem with him, despite him having a better game.
His defence is awful, he always gets caught out.
And when he made a good break, there was never a chance of him racing away.
Johnstone, French, Hardaker, Field, Makinson, Grace.....the list goes on.
They would have all raced away to score.
We don’t have a winger that could do that.
And he’s not the rampaging, bulldozing type of winger, so what is he?
