I would play Handley at 1 (got to be better this week) play both Briscoe's and Broadbent bent at centre Sutty at 6.

At this point, I want to see what we've got for next year. Tindall needs some games outside Hurrell. Gannon looks decent. See if we can get Edwards some minutes too.

For what it's worth, I don't think Hall is good enough and O'Connor isn't strong enough at present.

Jury still out on Walters for me. Give him some games against big boys, but keep Martin in for experience in the winnable games.

Still no news on Holroyd?

Far too early to judge Hall he's only 18 and Edwards looks a great talent but he's only 17 so really shouldn't be getting a game unless we are totally busted. I do really like the look of Gannon but he too at 17 should be used sparingly. Walters will get plenty of game time and will only get better.

Holroyd fractured his leg. Be a long term absentee.

Walters has shown up really well in his starts this year. He needs to fill out but that will happen naturally over the next couple of years. Players of his height take longer to grow into their natural frame. Compare a 20 year old JP and Adrian Morley with the versions a couple of years later. The idea of Hurrell and Tindall sounds good from an attacking perspective however I know where I would be targeting as an opponent when I had the ball. There would be serious question marks in defence.

You could target anywhere on the field against us anyway! Works be worth a go, with an eye on next year already......

Why is a broken leg such a long term injury? It takes 6-8 weeks for a broken bone to heal?

Not heard anything from coaching staff to say it was season ending. They have been very vague on it though.

That's a real shame, I was hoping we'd see a good impact from Tom this season. Hopefully he'll be disciplined and get back in good shape.

Given that Zane is more of a roving middle/13, I still think we are short of another first grade prop. We lost Ava, I don't think Zane does the same job, and King is still a work in progress. If Prior retires we're even further down. It just seems 1 step forward and 2 back at times for us - going into next season we have to get this mix better, otherwise we'll have yet another year in the wilderness and even my patience is wearing thin after years of misfiring.

That big prop is your "white whale", Jim. I agree with you.

I could be wrong but 6/8 weeks to heal but a lot longer to withstand the impact of tough contact sport.

Yes. It happens unfortunately. Players have to train and legs can get put in awkward positions
