You're probably right. I look back on the 80's and early 90's with rose tinted glasses but only because that was when I attended matches as a youth and only because of my personal memories of that era.

It does not mean that those individuals in the team from that era, however talented, should be held in higher esteem than the current crop who only play in and against teams from their own era. The current crop are our most successful crop of players ever. Full stop. More successful than Lewis Jones, Arthur Clues, Eric Harris, John Atkinson, John Holmes, Syd Hynes, David Ward. All legendary names in our history and all failed to achieve what this crop of players have done.

It really irritates me how little that seems to be appreciated by our own fans.

Krisnan Inu is a very good player indeed and i would love it if we signed him. I think him and Brett Finch have been the scapegoats for Parramatta's poor start to the season and he's now playing reserve grade.

If Leeds want an impact/interchange prop then I would look elsewhere as there are far better options in that role than Eastwood. As Eastwood no longer plays a second row game it's harder to judge him for that role. In the role he plays in the NRL he looks totally s[ihagge[/id after every effort and struggles to move back and forward in the NRL defensive lines.

Today with 45 seconds left on the clock (and the Doggies trailing by two) he was brushed into by a Dragon defender who threw his arms up rather than make an attempt to tackle the ball carrier. He was beat and knew it and took the soft option. There was no obstruction but the winning try was ruled out by Steven Clark in the video box. A travesty of a call, IMO. Everyone was in disbelief.
