Reckon we'll be looking at a wigan-style attacking set up. O'Loughlin at loose, Smith and Widdop in the halves. Not really McGuire's style. Not saying it's the way I'd go, mind.

All in all, a great cherry on top of what has been the most incredible cake of a 2015 RL season for the Leeds club.'"
McGuire, imho, is England's best half. Matty Smith isn't fit to lace his boots. If McNamara wants a half to solely be a distributer then McGuire can play the role equally as good as Smith. But McGuire can also play what's in front of him, make breaks, take on the line better etc
I've got to say, I was so impressed with Lilley. He looked so calm, composed and not fazed one bit by the occasion. I wouldn't normally want to put pressure on someone so young but I think he could handle it and I'd seriously consider starting him at 6 next season.

It seems like Widdop and Williams will be the halves. Although, if it was up to me I'd have Luke Gale at 7. With him, and Widdop in the halves we actually have 2 controlling halfbacks, with the ability to unlock a defense. Williams is good, but playing him puts a lot of pressure on Widdop to manage the side.

Yes he was using a pre rehed script which didn't reflect the game. What a boring delivery he has too. No wonder his half time team talks were not successful.
Had Morley not dropped the ball on our own line the momentum may not have swung and the scores would have been closer.

Bookies were giving Leeds 24-26 points so a great effort.

| Stand out performers, mcguire, Lilley, Golding, Singleton, Briscoe, Garbutt and Moon. Pleasing signs from Mullally. I'd give Lauititi a year too if possible.

| Lauititi looks like he could do a Kylie style cameo stint last year with us. Makes you wonder if we released him a bit prematurely. The guy still has it.

| An outstanding evening and i thought our mix 'n' match Team put a cracking effort in.
I thought the final score flattered the Kiwis and Silverd!#k once again let his incompetence shine through but 99.9% a positive game.
I've said it all Year and i'll say it again Lilley is a more than capable 7 and there's no need to use him as 3rd choice hooker imo get him game time in the halves.
Golding also proved the doubters wrong the kid is a top quality prospect.
Singos hit on Moa was top notch and overall a great way to send out our Legends.

Agree with all that.
The negative was Silverwood, who is a complete douche.
The positives were everything else.
A great performance from our youngsters and the Kiwis showed some of their class too.
I thought Handley, Keinhorst and Walters all showed they can be very useful for us.
Ward looked decent with the ball but a bit lightweight in defence, admittedly against some very solid Kiwis.
But the real praise has to go to Golding and Lilley. I thought they were both excellent. Golding looked safe and secure at the back (with a few cracking tackles too, obviously learning from Hardaker) and lively going forward.
Lilley I was hugely impressed with. He was organising well and putting some good passes out along with looking keen to both take the line on and run from dummy half.
Nice touch from the Kiwis to do the haka with Kylie and Ali.

What a bizarre comment. Nothing to get over leeds did themselves incredibly proud and were always expected to lose. Harris' commentary was painful to listen to however.

| Not once did Harris compliment Leeds' exciting brand of rugby. Instead focusing on the amount of knock ons, despite those knocks ons being a symptom of the amount off loads and free flowing attack.
Leeds were a credit to the game last night. I don't expect that many of NZ's players had played a team so willing to promote the ball and just play 'what's on' so much. It showed that when it comes off it's far better to watch for the viewers and also can cause havoc to the opposing defence.
Harris seems to have inherited the Wigan philosophy of a defence based ruck control game, focusing on slowing down the opposition and attacking percentages. Shame Phil Clark wasn't in the commentary box, despite being a tool he's praised Leeds many time this year for our attitude to attack.
Harris also said Tomkins must be the FB for the coming Tests as he's world class. Well, he's never been so far against NZ or Austrialia. He's had a dire year, absolutely pathetic metres made percentages and isn't 100% fit. He looks world class against pathetic bottom of the table SL sides I'll give him that.

| Thought the game was very entertaining from start to finish - the young kids did themselves proud and really took the game to the Kiwis, a great sign for the future at Leeds - like others have said, thought Lilley and Golding were immense, and also thought Kienhorst looked really strong. Kylie was also fantastic all game (as were Garbutt and Cuthbo). Also thought Ali showed some good touches, and if the price is right, could be a terrific impact sub - we'd certainly get more from him than we have Achurch (and for probably a 3rd of his salary), or previously Bailey and Kirke (though both were excellent defenders).

How many quality names were missing fron NZ side, plus the long flight from down under, plus most of the side had not played for 4/5 weeks.
I was surprised by the Leeds team, but there again it was probably tactics to throw the ball about against a jet lagged team, but it did them well for an hour before the visitors got into match mode and controlled things.BATEOTD it was only a training run out for NZ.

Fully appreciate nz squad and circumstances. But how well did THAT leeds team do to be ahead after 60 mins. Nz start from the position of being a national side and 2nd best in the world, Leeds were far far more under strength than the kiwis. Great effort.

Bet you're the life and soul at a party.....
ATEOTD it was an exhibition and legend send off game between the all conquering, treble winning, legend making Rhinos and New Zealand - the result didn't really matter, but it was hugely entertaining and a great way to sign off a great season and the careers of some legends.
Couldn't be happier with the evening or the club at the moment!

| Great (money-spinning) way to end the best season in our history.
I hope all those playing can now have a good break & come back refreshed raring to go into a very important pre-season to set them up to defend all 3 trophies.
Thanks for a fabulous 2015.

| Putting it another way; if England went over in similar circumstances and played a North Queensland team missing 12 players, people would be ridiculing them for being behind after 60 mins.

Absolutely, they were under strength and jet lagged. Can't understand why they didn't pick an easy beat team as warm up. I'm sure they could have found a weaker team in West Yorks, one that can't stand up on the big occasions, to give them an easy win with a 60 point margin. That lot that used to play out of Fartown, what are they called again?

| That was as close to their Test team as New Zealand could muster given the players unavailable. They've been here the best part of a week, so don't buy all this jetlagged/rusty nonsense.
For an hour, I think they were taken aback by how well Leeds played. They struggled to put together combinations, and it wasn't until they went more direct down the middle that they started to dominate. They couldn't get their talented outside backs into the game.
If England can match up down the middle of the field, I don't think there's any reason for them to be worried about what else the Kiwis can throw at them.
