I got done for speeding last year ater 30 yrs driving, 58 in 50 zone on the M606. It was my fault, end of. There are >2,000 peple killed every year & 100,000 injured on our roads. The majority on urban roads. Perhaps we should just accept it.

Got caught on a bus lane camera in Bradford. Contested it and won!!!! The lane was only a bus lane till 6.30pm. I got given the ticket at 6.29 argued the toss as my watch said it was past 6.30 and that's was the reason I was there. Saved myself some dosh

That camera is not in a sneaky place near the end of the bus lane at all. It's there to keep as much of the lane free as possible on the approach to a junction. If there is a solid white line done cross it. The arrow indicating the ability to encroach into the is there for a reason, its an indicator of the start of the permitted zone.

So in response, the camera isn't sneaky, and the title of this thread should be, "I was stupid enough to venture into a camera controlled bus lane and got a fine"
