Completely agree. Since when is it the captain's job to waste his breath jibing and sniping at opposition players at the play the breakdown, instead of galvanizing his team? Amazed that our greatest ever captain gave him this role last season, and hasn't seen what a poor decision that was. He's a disgrace to the shirt.

100 % correct, some had a go at me for saying we had gone backwards since McDermott left and Sinfield joined us, it doesn't go down well with individuals who are simply blind to the cause but cannot see the wood for the trees. Tonight was shocking, a team with little leadership both on and off the field, the ref had a shocker but you cannot blame him for the loss, the first half was the worst performance I have seen from a Leeds team in years, and the coach and players have to take responsibility, for those asking everyone to be patient and more time is needed, just listen to the boos at the end of the game, because some of you may not realise that others have taken note.
In the Directors suite tonight after the game was three shareholders, all directors in deep conversation, Caddick, Gh and Oates, they was not entertaining they were in private conversation,These three guys who own the club are not happy chaps, read into this what you want.
Personally changes are needed, forget the patience, some changes are needed however small but it needs to be made clear that under performing will not be tolerated.

Agree with the earlier posters regarding Peteru. Probably his best performance for us.
Holroyd showed some potential in his all too brief spell. He looked capable of breaking a tackle and put some good shots in defence. On the flip side he was caught out at marker and knocked on. Don't know if that was why Furner replaced him petty quickly but I can live with a few errors, if he gets on the front foot a bit more.
We would have done better with Dwyer on the bench imo. He would have given us a bit of impact.

Myler and La La , the worst half back pairing in the history of the game ?

Seems like one of my better decisions not to renew my 2 season tickets for the first time in over 30 years. I get the "we should get behind the team" etc arguments. But that works two ways. This is an entertainment industry & Leeds have stopped entertaining (other than in a comedic/pathos kind of way). The powers that be at Leeds have lost sight of what keeps the crowds coming. I was happy to keep the faith for the past 3 years in the hope that the penny would drop. It hasn't....yet. Bargain basement imports, REALLY poor quality squad fillers, extended contracts for those not good enough & those past their useful shelf life, poor running of the academy (admittedly now reversed).
I shall return once Leeds RL decides to get ambitious & provide me with the entertainment I am prepared to pay for. I know, for some, that I am a "fair weather supporter/glory hunter", however I have been watching Leeds throughout the later 70s, 80s & 90s when we won virtually f*** all, but most of the way through that my memories are of excitement, optimism & ambition.

Any other player with JJB confirmed performance would be dropped straight away, our poorest forward. Lucky the competition not that high. Those saying ref not playing part. Looking for a positive, Peteru had a good game.

Perhaps the problem lies within both the club and its players.

They both seem to think that they have the right to be in the top echelons of the game.

On the other hand, London don't and knew that to get anything last night, they had to roll up their sleeves and put in a big shift.

That effort got them the points.

Leeds need to have that attitude now in order to save their season.

After Briscoe scored they seemed to think they had won and let London pick up momentum. Those last few minutes it was obvious London were going to snatch it

On Thursday night as soon as Saints got a 2 score lead they put their foot down, scored more and completely took the game away from Shuddersfield.
We get a 2 score lead then start kicking it into touch on the last play and people sat around me were applauding it as "smart play" while I sat there shaking my head. You've got to accumulate points when on top otherwise it comes back to bite you.

Kendall did not cost us the game but some of the decisions were questionable.
For their opening penalty Pelisier forcibly plays the ball (with his foot - who does that these days?) back into Merrin who has just made the tackle but the penalty was actually for offside as we failed to retreat back the 14 metres where Kendall set the mark.
On the halfway line a London player (not sure who) steps a good metre forward off the mark making the Leeds defensive line offside. Again it is a penalty one way or the other and they get the call. They get field position from this and score. Eventually they later get penalised for stepping off the mark.
I'd need to see Walker's disallowed try again but it didn't scream obstruction to me. Maybe Sutty ran through the line and he ran round the back?
I also recall a London player going down when they had a scrum about 10 metres from their tryline. 2 of their players checked he was okay then left him. Kendall stopped the clock, did not deploy the shot clock and they had a nice rest before the player got up and packed down. I appreciate that there may have been head injury concerns but his team mates did not seem bothered about him and I thought that the shot clock was supposed to get away from this sort of thing (or have I misunderstood?).
Of course these things are soon forgotten if we play well and win and to reiterate Kendall did not cost us the game but it is still frustating.
