It's called an agenda.

I mean look at how certain high-profile howlers on here were keen as mustard to criticise the proposed changes to the SL structure and criticise those who are behind it, only to quickly STFU about it all once they realised that 1) GH himself has been instrumental and a key player in the proposals for structural change, and... 2) Sir Kev himself coming out in support of the changes.

I have no "personal contempt" for McDermott, I trust that he is doing what he thinks is best.
I do reserve certain criticisms for him though, largely in terms of game plan, the persistent deconstruction of roles, persistent redistribution of the tasks in those roles, lousy use of substitutes and not knowing what a hooker is for.

I am certain mr Mc Dermott is paid a sufficient sum of money as a reward for being in the hot seat .
As a former royal marine I am certain he is no shrinking violet, so on balance he probably does not give a tinkers cuss for any verbal barbs fired his way.

If they want to keep them then it will help - money is not the only thing but its importance should never be overlooked.

Leeds are perhaps not in position going forward to guarantee CC finals, GF on a regular basis until this team is dismantled and re-built.

Langley unfortunately suffered at the hands of Noble's coaching - noble only wanted huge players so he turned a very talented centre into a bulked up biff/baff merchant who never got to use the handling skills he had.

i disagree. theres plenty of youth in there. its the forwards which need sorting.
what confuses me is that as an ex prop BM has struggled with the forwards but done a good job with the backs.
be interesting to see what the next couple of years bring forward wise

Try reading what I put instead of immediately getting all upperty. I said "The way that reads...". What I didn't say is "In my opinion..." or "I think that..." or even "If Leeds had done this instead of that..."

So you interpreted and extrapolated the article, but the outcome you came to wasn't what your opinion, wasn't what you thought, and wasn't something you felt Leeds should have done? If that's the case, it was quite silly for you to post it, because it's quite reasonable to interpret what someone posts as what they think.

Not my opinion just summarising the article. I’ve already given my opinion earlier in this thread which is that I doubt that there was anything the club could have done to prevent the lads going to NZ, in much the same way that Wigan were unable to prevent Tomkins from going.

Agree there's times the coaching and signings have baffled and times we've played e but to just say we win cos others are generllay worse is doing a disservice to th players and the club.

It's not, it's when some people start posting b#ll#cks that hold little to no weight or logic that others will question them on it to which we're met with a reply of "how dare you criticise the criticisers, we're doing it for the good and future of the club blah blah blah".

I have enjoyed the whole of the SL era - its ups and downs - but only someone in denial - who attends few matches live i.e. you can be happy with the quality of rugby that is on offer on a weekly basis. For a team of Leeds' capability to finish 5th in the regular season says much about the dross we as fans are subjected to on a weekly basis. The fact that puts the team in a position to win the GF says much about the quality of SL itself IMO.

So you actually believe the standard of rugby required to win the GF in 2004 & 2009 was the same as was required to win in 2011 & 2012!!
