| 2 to 3 additions for me. Prop. 7. A solid experienced number 9 if Lunt isnt retained who starts games well letting Dwyer impact from bench

| The biggest priority going forward for me is top quality at 6 and or 7. Lui is good for right now, Myler is meh. Neither are grand final halfbacks (yes I know Myler played in 2012 thank you very much).
Top quality in those positions knit it all together and make average players around them better. When we had McGuire and Sinfield we were able to win grand finals with the likes of Kirke, Bailey, Scruton, Ablett, JJB, BJB, Lee Smith and more. Before anyone get's precious, some of those were great servants for the club, but objectively speaking are all bog standard, run of the mill, average.

| I still don`t rate Myler unless he`s been told to just pass the ball on when he gets it.
He doesn`t do the sort of things I want to see in a scrum half or what Burrow would do for instance.
Luke for me is better than Tom and played well on Friday.
I have Handley for top try scorer this year doubled with Tomkins for top goal kicker.
Might not be too far off and pleased Handley keeps proving the doubters wrong.
Singleton woeful as ever and what on earth was Ferres thinking kicking the ball to the wings
A Fifita type prop and a scrum half if McLelland isn`t going to get picked and we are probably top 5 material again next season.

Burrow was hardly a classic scrum-half; he spent the latter part of his career at Leeds at hooker.
Myler looks a lot better with Lui taking some of the responsibility off him. They aren't world beaters but on present form I can live with Myler seeing out the last year of his contract with us.

Yes but I`m talking about most of his career and even as stand in hooker he pretty much played a scrum half role.
I think when people talk about Rob Burrow they rarely remember him as the hooker for Leeds Rhinos.

I’d disagree with that. Most of my memories of Burrow are of his darting runs from dummy half rather than of classic half back play. Because of course he was playing alongside McGuire & Sinfield who were doing the half back jobs.

| Myler is absolutely crap. Two tries aren't going to change my opinion of him. If we're wanting to challenge again we need better.

| It was a typical Myler display really. When we signed him, I remember a post from a Wire fan saying he's the type of player that scores a hat trick when things are going well but when the chips are down he doesnt deliver the goods. Given how this year has gone, it's difficult to argue with that.

| Myler is what he is, a good support player, a decent link, a decent defender. He’s not like Danny McGuire who evolved as a player when his pace went, but that’s not to say Myler isn’t reasonably good, he’s just not what we need going forward.
If we could get someone to take him, even if we are paying a share of his last year, and replace him with a better more suitable player then that would be good business.
I don’t think he’s “let anyone down” he’s just not the type of player we need. Remember he was POTY last year...

| He went to the right team in Warrington, where he had a monster pack to play behind and a half that excelled in doing all the donkey work for him, freeing him up to do what he does best, eye catching trick plays and support play.
Its not a failing on him that at Leeds we suddenly expected him to organise the team, run the attack, and come up with miracle plays from his 'arris as Leeds aimlessly chucked the ball at each others shins.
McGuire was always going to be an extremely hard act to follow, he could / can dig a team out single handed with his smarts and guile, so can Myler but nowhere near as consistently and certainly not for as long a period (2010 anyone?)
Hes looked a lot better since Lui has come in and took away the donkey work and the pack has finally realised it has to lay the platform for the backs.

Yes. Burrow was a great player but he was never a consistent organising type.
To be honest, much of the flak aimed at Myler has also been levelled at Burrow in the past too. AP labelled him a 'flat track bully', perhaps harshly. Burrow could be a match-winner but it tended to be through individual brilliance rather than his kicking game or making tries for his team-mates.
The difference is that Burrow could rely on others to take the pressure off, whereas Myler has been paired with Sutcliffe for a large part of his Leeds career. No wonder he's looking better with Lui. I'm all for giving it more time to develop, especially as Myler is under contract.

| As others have said, Burrow was never an organiser, neither is Myler. Sinfield and latterly McGuire did that role when Burrow was playing. He was a far superior player to Myler, his kicking game was under used at times but was much better than Mylers. Don't agree that he was a flat track bully either, he often preformed when it mattered for Leeds in Finals.

That could be levelled at most British half backs TBF.

| Myler isn't total rubbish, but he's not good enough for an ambitious Leeds side.
His lack of pace (for a HB) and terrible kicking game does it for me. Also hit and miss in D. He has good aspects to his game, otherwise he wouldn't have had the career he has, but not enough.
