| Quote ="Juan Cornetto"Interesting comments and would explain why we underperformed formuch of last season. The quality of rugby deteriorated and there were many occasions when we had no game plan "A" let alone a "B". No wonder it is taking time to relearn our forgotten passing skills.'"
I wouldn't argue with any thing that Keith said, although, The standard of rugby produced against the Quins was the worst I had seen in recent years. You can only use the excuse of blaming the coach once.
Liked his ideas re player management and building up RL player's profiles.

I don't know what game you were watching, but I could list at least 15 performances last season that were worse than that game. It's not just about the result.
IMO the performance against the Bulls was worse than the Quins one.
Unless of course you want to seperate the game into two areas, attack and defence? if you are only talking about defence, then I am a little closer to agreeing with you. If you are talking about attack, then you need to relook at last seasons performances. If you are talking about overall performance, again I would advise relooking at last season.

Yup. It's a strong argument and a worthy one but harder to quantify.
Even in recent years, his best has come and gone, but he not only survives in Super League he thrives. He more than holds his own compared to his fellow countryman pretenders.
Who would his nearest contender be? Can of worms opened.......

I would imagine most players have respect for their fellow professionals and that would include opposition players.

Neutrally, Cunningham is the obvious answer. In terms of longevity, importance to team, and trophies won, then Long, Deacon and Peacock would be around too.
If we're only allowing players who have been consistently outstanding at international level then we'd have an empty list.

| It depends on the criteria. Gilmour & Johnson are long serving journeymen but hardly key influencial players.
Of those that have also lasted the course Cunningham, Deacon & Sinfield are perhaps the most influential creative players of SL era with Peacock not so much creative but still still hugely influential.

This wasn't so much a Rhinos side devoid of ideas as a Rhinos side with way t[ boo many ideas, all of which were rubbish. We kicked the ball in daft positions and badly, we threw at least four crazy intercept passes, and we failed to muscle up and tackle hard when we needed to.
That critique is taken directly from the Quins match report. Condemnation of both the attack and defence.
Can't remember 15 reports as damming as that from last year.

| Loved it when Carney asked Keef what he planned on doing when he finally hung up his boots, or sell them on eBay
Sean O'Loughlin next week. Carney should ask him how he feels not to be as good as Kevin Sinfield

Its a good shout, but its not exactly a shining endorsement on Super League, as a whole, if true??
I like Senior, a good honest pro and a great example for any youngster, but he isn't a 'great' in the true sense of the word.....He's been a reliable cog in a good machine, rather than ever being a leading light who would be a matchwinner.

Like I said, he's been a cog in an efficient machine.....His present form is probably down to Leeds' general mediocrity...Leeds play well, Senior looks good, Leeds play poor, Senior ain't so good.
He has never ever been a match changer in the Meninga, Inglis, Jonathan Davies type of centre.....Good solid pro, nothing more.
