is there any results of how much the player receives at the end of his testimonial?

Is anyone else getting testimonial fatigue?

Poor Diskin, he gets his in the middle of a recession and after what seems like seven consecutive years of previous players having testimonials.

Its' a remarkable tribute to the longevity of this squad.

There's still Mcguire,Burrow and Bailey to come!!

How many consecutive years have there been testimonials now? I recall only a couple missing since 2003:

2003 - Cummins
2004 - Nobody?
2005 - Barrie Mac
2006 - Nobody?
2007 - Senior
2008 - Sinfield
2009 - JJB
2010 - Diskin

Anybody add to this or correct me?

It does show impressive continuity in the squad.

You're right though I bet the level of interest (and funds) has probably declined over the years if only because the novelty factor has worn off. How many years before Frannie to the previous one?

Hope it does well though as Diskin is exactly the sort of player testimonials were designed for.

Given the level of player turnover during the late 80s and through the 90s I'd be surprised if anyone stuck around long enough to get one.

I honestly can't think of who it will have been though I have a very vague recollection of Dave Creasser? Possibly.

Don't think so. I think Wardy's was in the 1970s so the only one I can recall in the 1980s was John Holmes 2nd testimonial.

With Creasser I had a vague recollection of him having a testimonial but it seeming odd as he'd hardly played for years. May well be wrong though.

aren't the testimonials a throwback to the days when players were skint @ the end of their careers & often on winning/losing pay rather than lucrative contracts.

Does any sl player need one these days & much less premier league footballers

Players who stay loyal to one club often forego lucrative signing on fees & arguably lower salaries than if they move around.
As has been debated ad nauseam these events are an opportunity for fans to reward loyalty.
If you don't agree with it don't go.

Premier League footballers I'd agree don't need a testimonial since even average players get paid more a year than the entire Leeds team. But RL players do deserve one, they get paid relatively small wages. Don't forget with the salary cap the average wage for a first team player is £64,000. Which whilst large to a lot of people (chicken feed to Mr Ramrod of course), is not much when their career is over at the age of 35.
