Although originally I had 4 Warrington players and I took Johns out instead of Briers but I've corrected it now.

Are we going with the best players to have played in SL, or the players who have performed best in SL? If it's the latter, I can't see how anyone could pick Johns or Langer at 7.

I'd say that back 5 picks itself really. Its the forwards I struggled with. Kearney is a good shout though, and Jones at halfback is a good shout, both players I omitted due to not enough games

Agreed re the back 5. Went for Jones because he was reasonable quality in his 2 (part) seasons but it also meant it freed up a spot elsewhere for a Saints/Bradford/Wiganer. I'd have thought 9 & 13 pick themselves (with all due respect to Sculthorpe).

Darren Britt is an interesting shout. In a similar vein I'd have liked to include Derek McVey but didn't want to lose Lyon, Cunningham or Pryce.

I thought he was the pillar around which the Saints side of that era was built, and one of the best props of his generation. Gidley over Lyon was just personal preference and Pryce/Sculthorpe lost out to Cunningham.

I struggled with the back rowers and the bench to be honest, having gone for all first choices in the backs and front row which exhausted the Saints, Wigan and Bradford quotas.

Didn't Briers play for saints though, so you may have to get a new 6

I respect your opinion. But have you kept a close watch on him during matches. He is often lacking condition when he plays. His commitment is less than absolute in most games. However he seems to move up a gear for play offs and Grand Finals. Which tells me he can do it when he wants.
Unfortunately he doesn't do it often enough for me.
