We had a higher average attendance when United were last in the premier league than we have so far this season.

I'd say that would be as much of a problem, if not more of one, for the likes of Castleford and Wakefield.

A significant proportion of Leeds United's customer base comes from outside the city - on a par with some of the bigger clubs in the Premier League on that front.

Not sure it is. There's a natural turnover of fans at every club, and I think the problem has been we haven't been replacing the likes of myself whose non-attendance at games is unrelated to onfield performance.

They should go back to basics - banner making competitions, Bullman's tank and above all Molecule Man. You'd be jetting back every other week.

Their decline can surely be traced back to the running down of the car parade round the track? Get some monster trucks in and, bingo, problem solved!

Watching some of the "things" on that parade was often like an acid trip.

strange how our crowds are only 1% down compared to this time last year. yours are down 11%. and before you say its down to who youve played so far, against same oppostion last year ours are down 1% yours are down 6%.

It also has absolutely nothing to do with a percentage (I'm not sure how much) of the South Stand being closed for maintenance.

seeing as headinglys capacity last year was 20,500 and your average this year is 15,091 then it must be a big percentage of southstand closed ( like all of it ) for that to be reason for the drop off in your support

bit of a red herring that one as last years first 7 home games included sts,wigan,leeds and wire. this years we've only had the two hulls and leeds bringing decent away support. Figures against same opposition are a fairer way of comparing imo. Other than that you figures pretty much support what I said in original post.
