That's what TMFMISL does. It's not all hype ya know.
I don't know why you dislike a leading prop?

| Actually, just watched the interview after the match with Hall, Mcdermott and Sinfield. JJB has 'flipped cartilage' in his and is getting it 'cleaned out' today which I presume will mean surgery? Also the reason for Bailey not coming back on was due to the fact he was heavily concuss.

Hardly spear tackles!! reality check required.
He was already on floor when Whatmough lifted his legs up? soft penalty but typical Bailey you have to admire his ability to win theses

If you end up on yer head - spear. Anyway.......
On the second 'spear' I thought it was a super drive, Bails kept driving, and Manly showed their frustrations. Everyone's a winner.

In most tackles the players head hits the ground - not a spear - that was the case in the second tackle - Bailey's head was already on the ground before his legs went above the horizontal.
As I said you have to admire his ability to win these - what did you think of his attempt at stopping Stewart for the first Manly try?

JP was good but Delaney was equally so and never had a rest. Griffin & Leuluai were very good too! But Burrow and Sinfield were the two closest challengers to Hall for MOM.

I thought JJB was the best player on the pitch up to him going off, made solid ground every time on the left edge.

| Quote ="Juan Cornetto"Perhaps after last nights performance you can now understand why coach McDermott had selected Burrow as starting hooker. Burrow showed you last night that he is equally creative in the hooking role as he is in the half back role and was a serious contender for MOM with an outstanding all round display in all positions!
'"
What I didn't understand last week was the way Burrow/McShane were used at the DW Stadium.
Last night McDermott did things differently and I'd suggest Leeds looked and played better in part because of it. Getting Burrow away from dummy half for periods gave him the room to unsettle the Manly forwards finding the players he wanted to target rather than the ones concentrated around the play the ball.
What worked so well at the end of last season was Burrow moving in and out of the dummy half position rather than being stuck there for eighty minutes as he pretty much found himself last week.

| Cracking effort from all the props. Griffin has impressed me in the last few games. Bailey had a good game, till he went off. Ablett ran himself into the ground. JJB was brilliant till the injury, Delaney was solid, and hard as. That hit that put him on his backside and he just kept coming. As was JP man of the Match for me. He is a animal and just keeps running it in.

I do agree tvoc. I think though last week he was restricted with his interchanges due to the injuries otherwise he would have done the same as last night. I think this was his game plan all along but this year he wants Burrow on for as many minutes as possible - hence starting him

| I would imagine Leeds are now targetting the CC trophy, so I expect some mediocre displays in the regular rounds, but, like last night, a big step up in intensity in the cup games, and another end of season step up to defend the title.
Leeds know and proved you don't have to be at your best every week to be the best. Other clubs don't realise that just yet

In the interview Geoff Toovey says he thought their pack dominated ours for most of the match.

Certainly not the one I went to. That's the best I've seen Leeds forwards as a unit for a long time.
I thought Watmough, King (and Williams at times) were impressive going forward and during that spell of pressure in the second half their forwards did allow a lot of space for Foran and Cherry-Evans to express themselves, but I'd hardly say they dominated as a whole.
One of the most telling stats is that despite having far fewer play-the-balls, leeds managed twice as many quick play-the-balls than Manly. Hardly an indication of their forwards dominating.

| Leeds deserved to win as they played for each other and their fans and did a very good job on Manly.Just for showing up underprepared and thinking they could play with no warm up games Manly deserved to loose ( even if they had of had pre match games i still would of been a rhino for the night )
