A players value depends on the club he's leaving.
Swansea's turnover wont be anywhere near that of Leeds, so money is tighter. Because we can turn a profit we don't need to sell players to balance the books, hence the fact it takes a larger bid to get a player away from us. |

Put him on the list and it sends a message to his agent that there really is no more money on the table and see if it'll force him to agree to the existing offer.
Trouble is it also sends a message to other clubs that he may go for silly money.
Taking him off the list now applies more pressure to the player's agent and his suitors. |
