Awful first half display, Dwyer has dragged us back in at the death. Now it’s chucking it down and blowing a storm.

They lost Inu early at left centre. Lannon, a forward in his place. Inside him they have Atkin and roberts both on debut. They are all over the shop. We have not tried to exploit it once.

Ball control key now but we are playing now into a proper rain driven gale.

Not sure it helps them either. Weather can be a problem when you’ve got the ball, but not when you don’t. We’re missing too many tackles...

Myler come on at hooker? He could be a real unexpected bonus this year. Fair play to the lad I've been a huge critic but his attitude is fabulous. 2 points today in tricky conditions will do me. Onwards...

Good stuff, happy to see some fight in the squad, too often over the last couple of years we were beat as soon as things started to go wrong. I had no faith we would turn that around at 8 - 0... very happy to be proved wrong.

Good result given the conditions. Salford gonna struggle though this year will be a relegation fight for them i reckon.

Salford fans are so bitter, blaming the ref for absolutely everything, if anything they had more chances, the possession and territory all went to them. Yes ok he wasn’t great and blew a lot of penalties but he did not piggyback us. We came out firing in the second half and took out chances. Myler was a breath of fresh air and will add a lot this year. Cuthbertson and Oledzski were decent. But also we weren’t great and the conditions didn’t help, Salford fans jumping in the abuse bus straight away. What did they expect this year? Without Hastings and the others that went and their average recruitment, they were never going to be as good as last year.

Griffiths was dire and if you think you weren't piggybacked at the start of the 2nd half then you're deluded. We'll be absolutely fine this year, in and around 8th with the smallest budget yet again. Leeds won't be anywhere near the top 4 based on today. Newman looks a really good prospect but with all due respect you struggled to beat a team that all your fans are tipping to struggle and you're barely any better than that shower of sh*te that we played last year.
