Couldn't agree more.however, many of them names, the likes of Baldwinson will hopefully get the opportunity to play next season and prove themselves, we will need them to make the grade for the coming years.

We can't afford to lose too many front line players to injuries to compete at the top though, i think that goes without saying.

BB- Imo Achurch showed glimpses of his worth when used out wide in the BR he needs more minutes in that role.

Robbie Ward was a better alternative at hooker to Burrow.
Achurch when given game time and played out wide was one of our better players last season.
I sincerely hope we have a couple of signings to come in preferably at half back and prop.

Achurch performed better against lower quality opposition. So i think his quality is limited and he wouldn't get anywhere near the team for other title contenders.

Lol at that Mossop article, near the bottom it mentions Wigan officials are to meet up to sort out the Brisbane game as the original fixture planned on the Saturday sees Wigan Athletic playing at home too.

Having to play second fiddle to association football should be nothing new to you. After all Leeds Utd regularly attract about 8,000 more fans than your good selves. You were world champions and they were in the third division and they still got bigger crowds ffs.

It is a sad fact that Rugby League is way behind football in terms of crowds, media interest and anything else really.

In a small town like Wigan it is necessary to share a stadium, as it is in other towns that host football league teams. The Latics average about 1,000 more than we get. And after all the Brisbane game is only a glorified friendly at best. Why should the Latics move their game?

Achurch has taken to Twitter to say that he has every intention of doing a pre-season at Leeds, and that any rumours to the contrary doing the rounds aren't coming from him.

His courage in the 2011 Challenge Cup won't have been lost on you.

Neither will the fact that he got in the 2013 World Cup squad in a position that we are hardly short in.
