Is an injury crisis early in the season now turning into more than that? We’ve understandably been suffering with so many players out, results have been poor but we know why. As players come back, some from a shortened preseason due to their injuries, are we now looking at facing a different type of challenge, where other teams are starting to hit their groove and we are still on the start line?

We’re already out of the cup this year, and 8th in the league with only one win on the board, at what point are we in serious danger of missing the playoffs and therefore it’s yet another dead season?

Think dead season if we lose to Hudds next week, which is a real possibility....

As concerning as last night was how on earth would the season be dead after 5 games?!

Ha ha. Think alot still of the old mentality of us coming good after bad start. Our gear teams instilled this ofcourse. Sadly with the level we are at now a few bad losses could quickly turn into 5 or 6....

I know where you are coming from, but logically once we get out better players back and match fit we will start picking up the wins. We miss Gale terribly. Read a piece by Matt Shaw this morning where he pointed out that in 6 games he has missed since arriving at the club, we haven't won a single one. A sobering stat. Gutted to hear that Cam Smith has picked up an injury that will keep him out for a few weeks. If it wasn't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all.

Yeah good point. This is why it's a bad idea to be do reliant on one player!
When we were very good if Sinny, Burrow, or Mags got injured, the others would step up... .
What we gonna do if Gale is it for a long time?

The only plus to Gale being out long term is that McLelland could get an extended run.We would then see if he has what it takes to be our starting 7 long term.

Think the club have already decided he ain't good enough from what I've heard.
And coming in after an injury into a side that's all over the shop ain't gonna be a time to prove them wrong..!

Liam Sutcliffe possibly. Mightve lost Alex Sutcliffe from Fri tho.

Hopefully the players who returned at KR will be bettet for the hit out tho.

L.Sutcliffe is the only possible player returning i think was reported after KR game could be straight swap for his name sake Alex who rolled his ankle last Friday.

Positional changes mainly, surely Handley back on the wing, T Briscoe out. Broadbent back to Full back, L Sutcliffe koni centres, myler and Eastmond in the half’s

I think one thing they clearly need to revert to is a more unconventional way of using players in the 17 as per the previous weeks as having Myler in the halves seemingly doesn’t improve anything where structure is concerned.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry

I'm going to opt for crying. It truly beggars belief. I feel sorry for Eastmond, who seems to be surrounded by self destructing half back partners. I know it's hard to keep your temper when things are going against you in such a physical sport, but this suspension really hobbles us.
