| Quote ="batleyrhino"I called out a few months ago, that I don’t see any of the established members of the squad as worth keeping because they are so mentally fragile they will fold at the slightest difficulty.
We will not recover while ever we have even half of this squad, and there’s no easy way to offload them.
Sacking Furner, and effectively backing the players, only made this harder. It was a truly stupid decision.'"
Pretty much this. However, the ineptitude of the players is such that I'm pretty sure we'd have still lost today even if Furner had remained in post.

| Is it Shaun Wane we need?
Even Bruce Wane couldn't get us out of this mess!

| It's not Furner that has left us in this mess the mess started a few years back and the cracks were papered over and still are being. Lets not forget how bad we also were last season and in 2016 its not just happened out of nowhere the writing has been on the wall for a long time.
This season is now done. Of course we need a few wins to make sure but besides that its a dead duck. We have no coach and no vision for next season as far as things stand. All the best players will also be snapped up over the next couple of months so likely write off 2020 as part of any rebuild.

| Prior to today I was going to make a "tongue in cheek" suggestion that John Kear would be a good choice. I think after today he would turn Leeds down

Completely agree. This started 3 years ago irregardless of 2017 win.

I don't blame Furner at all. Damage done long before he arrived. You can't blame Furner for last season. This started years ago when GH failed to plan for a good transition.

The problems have been there most of the time since 2016, if Furner was the issue and had upset a load of these players, there should have been a bounce today, instead we got the opposite.
Now Furner has gone I agree we need a coach in quickly but Sinfield has to give them time and some serious contract moves need to happen now, we have to free up cap, such as Cuthbo can retire now and we make him the paid Best women's coach in rL.

| Whatever coach comes in, if he persists with the madness of Sinfield and Hetherington that Sutcliffe can be an half, then he won’t last very long. How many years has it been now that this club have persisted with this nonsensical thought? Sick and tired of people going on about purely forwards, we are e in the halfs, and that’s where it starts.
If I have to watch any more years with the likes of Sutcliffe, Handley, Ferris, JJB, I am going to cry. And you can add into that Briscoe, and more sooner Lolohea and Albert.

| Whoever comes in needs carte blanche in player hiring and firing. The best parts of the “golden generation” have now gone, all we’ve left with is a basket case of a team that needs breaking apart and starting again.
A frank new pair of eyes are needed not blinded by Leeds’s OBN. Break it up, salvage what we can and start again. If that means putting noses out of joint so be it. Side before self, every time.

I think our biggest weakness is in the halves as well. We desperately need a half who organises the team, I was just thinking earlier how McGuire would have been shouting at everyone in that team today
and telling them what’s what.
You can tell hiw dire it is when we actually look better with Myler in the side as he is the only one with any amount of organisation however small
Unfair as Ive hardly seen him play but I’ve not seen anything from McLelland to back up his reputation, has Union ruined him already?

| Ouch. Wonder if part of that was the pro-Furner players? I'd be stunned if some didn't like him.
Regardless, for me the only way to react moving forward is to make clear the club is backing Agar whilst he's in charge, and for Agar to drop as many poop performers as he can for next week. Player power is a bad thing generally - its an utter disgrace when the team is terrible.

| Doesn't matter who it is. Even if they're only appointed for this year they have to be able to pick whatever side they see fit regardless of how many players get upset. There's literally nobody in the squad with any credit in the bank from past endeavours - they've spent it all.

| Looking at how things have been managed since McDermott left it looks to me as if Sinfield is the head coach and has been for some time. Will he “butt out” if a new man is appointed? I have my doubts.

Just listened to Wane on the BBC 5 live podcast speaking to Dave Woods and it sounds to me like if Leeds approached him he would be seriously interested.
I don't want it to happen but have to say he looks to be the front runner.

He's in the shop window and Leeds are more desperate than Wigan
