IMO the defensive issues in the second half can be put down to the fact that the entire pack, hooker aside, consisted of props, with Walters playing at centre (and still missing plenty of one on ones). You wouldn't say Lilley is defensively dominant either when playing at hooker, and we had to hide Burrow in defence as well.

Great to see Walker and Oledzki makes their debuts though. Walker has bags of natural ability - great feet and an attacking mindset. He even put a good shot on a Doncaster prop who'd made a half break. Some good signs from Oledzki - took his try well and made another barnstorming run but unfortunately lost the ball after the Doncaster players had caught up with him. I just hope he can match his attacking prowess by being mobile enough in defence, which is something I think players like Mullally struggle with.

Nobody can tell me we wouldn't get more out of a kid learning in there, than that god awful player Walters. I really can not recall a worse player for Leeds than Walters. Sure we have had some bad play a couple of games, but look how many games he has played now, and he was a better player when he started.

Second half we really showed the wrong attitude in that game, far too complacent. Having too many props and less mobility was a big issue, Christ we were playing league one and not a very good one. I kind of agree with McDermott on Singleton, having him play long minutes having been out, so maybe that played a part in the tactics. Longer term that will have a benefit, and he did play well.

Is this the not very good league one side that put 28pts on the board and won the 2nd half? were a part time club coming off 2 terrible losses and with an average gate of 500 so show a bit of humility mate. COYD

If you re-read the context it's aimed more at Leeds than Donny & whether it shows humility or not it's more than a fair point Toronto put 80 pts on you.

Meh, the lineup we had in that final 30 mins we won't come close to seeing again with so many props on, with a bench consisting of a HB and centre who were never really going to return and we were 40 points up. We put the cue on the rack sinple as and were already looking ahead to Hudds which is more important to win than keeping the foot on the gas against Doncaster and trying to beat them 80-4.

Exactly, all that matters in the challenge cup is the win. Once we had the game in the bag we rightly rested McGuire and Watkins and gave good minutes to those who needed them.
The only negative of the game was Josh Walters. He looked completely out of his depth against part time players in the pack and somehow managed to play worse when out wide.

The game is the weekend after England vs Samoa so could be doubts on whether England players feature. If that was the case then pointless to play Cas away as even a win would be dismissed as no Gale, Hardaker, McMeeken for them (are their Samoans playing the international?). With another Friday & Monday double lined up for the week after Magic then the smart thought would be lower league again and rest a couple. Preferably the winner of York/Barrow or Dewsbury/Batley, Whitehaven/Halifax

Shows just how poor the Super League sides are this year. Huddersfield beaten by Swinton at home for gods sake. Toronto close at Salford. Hull KR winning at Leigh. This wouldn't have happened two years ago, not even close. Good to see lower teams winning, but still such a poor top division.

TBF Salford played for 50 mins with 12 men so probably would've won more comfortably. Leigh vs HKR were in opposite leagues last year and HKR played their reserves on Monday vs Toulouse to save themselves for this game.

not seen the leigh side but surely their aim has to be SL survival.
and Toronto are as good as top championship sides easily

Swinton beating Hudds is a massive shock.

Hull KR and Leigh are around same level so a win for the side full of confidence is no surprise and like Tad says, Toronto have a championship squad although i didn't expect them to push a top 4 SL team so close away from home.

Look on the bright side.....our bogey side have thrown a seven. On the flip side, they will be desperate to kick start their season on Thursday.
