The postcode test is always open to interpretation but I make the rules.

Scarborough is a YO postcode. However, it has its own council and its area telephone code is not that of York.

Therefore, it is one of the grey areas, like Drighlington in Leeds/Bradford/Kirklees.

Kippax however is not a grey area. It's Leeds.

Really? even if it was completly lacking in grammar and every word had a spelling mistake it would take me less than a minute to read a passage that size, we must be able adapt to things at differant speeds, constant practice may be able to solve this problem for you.

It must be hard to go on anything other than grammar forums if your so easily annoyed by lack of punctuation on an informal forum, i'm happy to say that i dont have this problem so can live a more carefree existance where i'm only concerned by what people say rather than how they say it.

I havent contradicted myself and have said that leeds is more than LS1 ever since another poster said the opposite. Quote me if you wish and you will see that i said 'no, more than ls1 is in leeds'

If you are struggling to understand i'm sure your local coucil runs classes for those who struggle with reading. I know exactley what i am arguing thanks, i'm saying that a village outside leeds and a number of miles away from leeds, is not in fact in leeds, do try to keep up.

Councils and postcodes are like Venn diagrams - you can be part of one circle or the other, or part of the bit where the two overlap.

In a Venn diagram of Leeds City Council boundaries and Leeds postcodes, Kippax is squarely in that overlapping bit - ergo, it's in Leeds for all practical purposes.

Sam, I think you are misinterpreting pyeman's first post you quoted thanks to his poor punctuation.

I think there should be a comma between No and more, to indicate a pause - the No is a rebuttal to the assertion that Leeds only consists of LS1, with the rest of the sentence confirmation that more than LS1 is within Leeds.
